Through a combination of interventions, they on average, assist between 16 000 to 20 000 beneficiaries a year. GBT core focus is to remove the obstacles and barriers that prevent children from finding their light and helping them to Shine.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Fundraising Consultant<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location: <\/strong>Pinelands Office, Western Cape<br \/>\n<strong>Remuneration:<\/strong> Basic salary plus attractive commission structure, incentives, medical Aid, pension, life and disability cover benefits<br \/>\n<strong>Reports to:<\/strong> Regional Fundraising Manager<br \/>\n<strong>Employment type:<\/strong>\u00a0permanent position<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Research and identify potential funders and funding opportunities<\/li>\n<li>Raise funds as per the targets agreed upon.<\/li>\n<li>Build sustainable and effective working relationships with donors and sponsors.<\/li>\n<li>Attend meetings with funders\/donors as required.<\/li>\n<li>Research fundraising opportunities<\/li>\n<li>Identify fundraising opportunities and raise awareness of the organisations work.<\/li>\n<li>Manage information and record the profile and fundraising activity of donors on a database.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Previous fundraising and sales background\/experience necessary<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 5 years work experience in Sales or Fundraising<\/li>\n<li>Self-motivated and mature<\/li>\n<li>Abilities to work independently and within a team environment<\/li>\n<li>Creativity, imagination and an entrepreneurial attitude towards fundraising<\/li>\n<li>Good communication and interpersonal skills<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate a willingness to learn and update your skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work under pressure and maintain efficiencies with attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Be multifaceted, adaptive and show initiative<\/li>\n<li>Valid driver\u2019s license<\/li>\n<li>Computer literacy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Submit CV and one page motivation letter to\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:kgovinden@gbtown.org.za\">kgovinden@gbtown.org.za<\/a>.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>Sunday, 6 December, 2020<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Established in 1958, Girls and Boys Town (GBT) is a national non-profit organisation that runs proven and successful programmes to strengthen vulnerable youth.
