{"id":59075,"date":"2020-11-13T08:42:54","date_gmt":"2020-11-13T06:42:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=59075"},"modified":"2020-11-12T22:22:47","modified_gmt":"2020-11-12T20:22:47","slug":"interactive-research-and-development-south-africa-ird-sa-npc-job-vacancy-14","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/interactive-research-and-development-south-africa-ird-sa-npc-job-vacancy-14.html","title":{"rendered":"Interactive Research and Development South Africa (IRD SA NPC) Job Vacancy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Interactive Research and Development South Africa (IRD SA NPC) is a South African Section 21 not-for-profit entity and an affiliate of Interactive Research and Development Global (IRD Global), and has fully operational offices in Johannesburg, Pretoria (Gauteng) and in Durban (KwaZulu-Natal).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Enrolled Nurse (EN)<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location: <\/strong>City of Johannesburg x 6<br \/>\nTshwane x 3<br \/>\nCape Wine lands x 4<br \/>\n<strong>Employment type:<\/strong> Fixed term contract<br \/>\n<strong>Reporting<\/strong> to the <strong>Provincial Managers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Position Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The primary objective of the LON TB grant Project is to screen, link clients to testing and treatment and ongoing support and monitoring for TB, Diabetes and Hypertension.<\/p>\n<p>This is a field-based\/ Ward based position with (100 %) time spent on the field, in order to complete the tasks listed below.<\/p>\n<p><strong>YOUR JOB WILL BE TO:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>TB\/Diabetes\/Hypertension Screening in allocated wards (mobile phone loaded with TB Screening App and sputum collection video will be provided).<\/li>\n<li>Fill all the client details on the Screening App or paper-based tool<\/li>\n<li>Collect samples spot Sputum for TB diagnosis and:\n<ul>\n<li>Fill the Laboratory forms and label the specimen correctly.<\/li>\n<li>Store the specimen in a cooler bag and ensure it reaches the closest Lab timeously.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Complete the DOH clinic register with details about the client screened and the specimens daily, to your local clinic<\/li>\n<li>Provide Health education and distribute IEC Material.<\/li>\n<li>Increase awareness of NCD\u2019s (TB\/Diabetes\/Hypertension) in communities, schools and Early Childhood Development Centers<\/li>\n<li>Improve household contact tracing and reverse contact tracing for all households and patients are initiated on IPT<\/li>\n<li>Provide TB\/ Diabetes\/Hypertension education, promote testing and refer to the client\u2019s local clinic (for HIV Counselling and testing)<\/li>\n<li>Maintain strict standards of patient confidentiality and access to patient-identifiable information.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure all patients confirmed with TB+ are traced back to the clinic and initiated on TB treatment.<\/li>\n<li>Follow up on contacts from the index client with confirmed TB.<\/li>\n<li>Assisting the clinical facilities as and when required to do so.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Knowledge and familiarity with the communities\u00a0within the abovementioned districts and familiarity of working systems at the local DOH Hospitals.<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to work within a community environment.<\/li>\n<li>Grade 12 &#8211;\u00a0Matric<\/li>\n<li>Enrolled Nursing Certificate is a prerequisite<\/li>\n<li>Ability to read and write<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in isiZulu<\/li>\n<li>Ability to use cell phone applications<\/li>\n<li>Good attitude, self-motivated, and ability to work well individually as well as in teams<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>To apply\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested candidates are welcome to apply, please provide two (2) current, relevant employment references.
