To manage the facilities of the branch I totality.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Branch Manager<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Inanda and Operations based at the PROTEC National Offices in Randburg<br \/>\n<strong>Reports to:<\/strong> General Manager<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The incumbent will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:\n<ul>\n<li>Administration:\n<ul>\n<li>Provide stakeholders with weekly, monthly and annual progress reports on the status of the branch.<\/li>\n<li>Accurate record keeping of all resources, assets and learner records.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate the Post School Programme and Alumni by encouraging participation of students in the programme.\u200b<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Management\u00a0responsibilities:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Create a positive learning environment for all learners, employees, internal and external customers.<\/li>\n<li>Locate areas of improvement and propose corrective actions that meet challenges and leverage growth opportunities.<\/li>\n<li>Management of facilities within the branch.<\/li>\n<li>Operate the branch business development strategy in order to achieve the branch targets and deadlines.<\/li>\n<li>Address stakeholders and employee satisfaction issues promptly with reference to allocation of resources, learner discipline, learner attendance.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare monthly financial reports.<\/li>\n<li>Manage budget and allocate funds appropriately and efficiently.<\/li>\n<li>Manage stakeholder relations not limited to learners, funders, schools and teachers.\u200b<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Operations:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop forecasts, financial objectives.<\/li>\n<li>Meet goals and targets according to PROTEC Strategy.<\/li>\n<li>Adhere to high ethical standards, and comply with all regulations\/applicable laws.<\/li>\n<li>Network to improve the presence and reputation of the branch and organization.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain and establish sound relationships with all stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li>Manage, schedule and monitor programme activities.<\/li>\n<li>Submit reports to national office i.e. dashboards, finance and narrative as per the agreed templates and schedules.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Knowledge:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>South African education sector.<\/li>\n<li>STEM and its impact to the SA economy and society in general (career opportunities for learners).<\/li>\n<li>South African Schools Act, learner promotional requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Assess local conditions and identify current and prospective opportunities.<\/li>\n<li>Stay up to date with educational changes and provide reports on the necessary changes and effects.<\/li>\n<li>Educational policies i.e. Religious, SACE, Disciplinary, Teachers Code of Conduct, Inclusive Education etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Support:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Share knowledge with other branches and national office on effective practices, competitive intelligence, business opportunities and needs.<\/li>\n<li>Establish and maintain relationships with learners by providing support and counseling.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The incumbent must have the following attributes:\n<ul>\n<li>Matric qualifications with Mathematics and Physical Sciences as major subjects.<\/li>\n<li>Certificate or Diploma in STEM careers from a registered FET institution will be an added advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Four-year relevant qualification (Education; Project Management, Finance Management, Administration).<\/li>\n<li>10 years relevant industry experience.<\/li>\n<li>Competent computer skills including MS Office or equivalent.<\/li>\n<li>Internet skills including use of e-mails, group messaging and information gathering.<\/li>\n<li>Numerical and literacy\/ communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>General understanding of office equipment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>\u200bKey\u00a0Competancies:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>The incumbent must have the following attributes:<\/li>\n<li>Organization and planning skills.<\/li>\n<li>An understanding of education policies and reform issu<\/li>\n<li>Own transport with a valid driver\u2019s license.es from formal schooling to HEIs.<\/li>\n<li>Work management and prioritizing skills.<\/li>\n<li>Verbal and written communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Problem solving skills.<\/li>\n<li>Paying attention to detail.<\/li>\n<li>Accuracy.<\/li>\n<li>Flexibility.<\/li>\n<li>Reliability.<\/li>\n<li>Teamwork.<\/li>\n<li>Financial Acumen.<\/li>\n<li>Be prepared to work on Saturdays and school holidays.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to network with different players in the education sector be it for funding, learner placements and career guidance opportunities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A letter of motivation together with comprehensive curriculum vitae and recently certified copies of qualifications, ID and drivers\u2019 license must be forwarded to: Ms Awelani Khakhu at<strong> <a href=\"mailto:awelani@protec.org.za\">awelani@protec.org.za<\/a><\/strong> or <strong>info@protec.org.za<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Late applications will not be considered.
