The work of Pebbles consists of 5 main pillars: education, health, nutrition, protection and community.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Clinical Nursing Practitioner<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Clanwilliam<br \/>\n<strong>\u00a0Reports to:<\/strong> Clinic Manager<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of this position is responsible for ensuring the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of Health Care Service for the Pebbles Project.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Minimum Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Basic R425 qualification (i.e. diploma or degree in nursing) or equivalent that allows registration with the SANC as a Professional Nurse and Midwifery<\/li>\n<li>Post-basic qualification with a duration of at least 1-year Diploma in Clinical Nursing Science: Health Assessment, Treatment and Care accredited with the SANC\u00a0 (i.e. R48)<\/li>\n<li>Current registration with the SANC<\/li>\n<li>Prescribing and Dispensing qualification\/licence<\/li>\n<li>Valid driver&#8217;s license and own vehicle<\/li>\n<li>Be prepared to use your vehicle for work purposes \u00a0(travel will be reimbursed)<\/li>\n<li>Experience in maternal health, growth monitoring, and Clinical Skills<\/li>\n<li>Fluent written\/spoken Afrikaans and English<\/li>\n<li>Excellent computer, administration and organisational skills<\/li>\n<li>Training Experience<\/li>\n<li>Must be available from Monday to Friday from 08h00 \u2013 17h00.<\/li>\n<li>Critical performance areas:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Management of \u00a0the Mobile Clinic<\/li>\n<li>Client Assessment and Treatment<\/li>\n<li>Health Education<\/li>\n<li>Statistics and Reporting<\/li>\n<li>Administration<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Management of the Mobile Clinic:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage the daily operations of the Pebbles Project Mobile clinic in Clanwilliam<\/li>\n<li>Develop a structured schedule for mobile visits and health training<\/li>\n<li>Order pharmaceuticals and consumables<\/li>\n<li>Implement Health and Safety protocols<\/li>\n<li>Ensure and maintain a clean working environment<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate and partner with stakeholders\/ NPO\u2019s\/NGO\u2019s<\/li>\n<li>Client Assessment and Treatment<\/li>\n<li>Provide acute, preventative and promotive primary health care.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure clinical intervention to clients including administering and dispensing of prescribed medication and on-going observation of patients in the Pebbles Project Mobile Clinic.<\/li>\n<li>Refer clients for 2<sup>nd<\/sup>\u00a0opinion or treatment to the local clinic or preferred private practitioner.<\/li>\n<li>Provide adult and children Wellness Screening including the screening for lifestyle, infectious and communicable diseases.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure proper utilization and safekeeping of pharmaceutical and consumable stock.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Health Education:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Design and present wellness, healthy lifestyle and hygiene workshops.<\/li>\n<li>Design and present sexual health workshops to teenagers and adults.<\/li>\n<li>Design and present the Pregnant Mother Baby Box Programme.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Statistics and Reporting:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Keep accurate patient records.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure and maintain the confidentiality of patient records<\/li>\n<li>Keep accurate statistics daily.<\/li>\n<li>Compile monthly statistical reports to relevant stakeholders<\/li>\n<li>Compile quarterly report to relevant funders.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Monitoring and Evaluation:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Contribute to service development by identifying gaps in initiative implementation.<\/li>\n<li>Assist the Clinic Manager with the collection of relevant and appropriate data needed for the effective monitoring of the relevant services.<\/li>\n<li>Take overall responsibility for the timely (monthly) sharing of M&amp;E information to the Cluster management system.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain and update current KPI\u2019s for the relevant initiatives under the guidance of the Clinic Manager.<\/li>\n<li>Build capacity of direct reports through training to ensure the implementation of new initiative monitoring tools and the quality of data collected.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0Administration:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To report to the Department of Health when required.<\/li>\n<li>To facilitate and coordinate the health activities of the Mobile Clinic.<\/li>\n<li>To manage stock control.<\/li>\n<li>Attend meetings and correspondence telephonically or via e-mail.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with relevant stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li>Display concern for patients, promoting and advocating proper treatment and care including awareness and willingness to respond to patients\u2019 needs.<\/li>\n<li>Protecting babies, children and young people from child abuse and neglect is integral to the work of the Pebbles ProjectThe Pebbles Project Trust has zero-tolerance for child abuse.\u00a0 Protecting babies, children and young people from abuse and neglect are integral to the provision of services we deliver to these children and their families.
