{"id":59410,"date":"2020-11-27T09:53:30","date_gmt":"2020-11-27T07:53:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=59410"},"modified":"2020-11-26T21:33:15","modified_gmt":"2020-11-26T19:33:15","slug":"gender-links-ongoing-job-recruitment-apply-now-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/gender-links-ongoing-job-recruitment-apply-now-2.html","title":{"rendered":"Gender Links Ongoing Job Recruitment &#8211; Apply Now!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Gender Links, a dynamic Southern African NGO headquartered in Johannesburg that promotes gender justice and equality seeks to fill the post of South Africa Programme Manager.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: <\/strong><strong>Gender And Local Government Manager SA<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>South Africa<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Managing the South Africa programme including amongst others the Mainstreaming Gender in Local Government Centres of Excellence (COE) and the entrepreneurship programme for survivors of gender-based violence.<\/li>\n<li>Facilitating training required for the SA programme interventions.<\/li>\n<li>Managing knowledge creation and learning, gathering testimonials at workshops, compiling I stories, contributing to the SADC Gender Protocol Barometer.<\/li>\n<li>Planning and reporting for the SA programme.<\/li>\n<li>Fundraising and managing the budget for the programme.<\/li>\n<li>Generating monthly monitoring and evaluation reports<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0Qualifications, experience and skills<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A degree in Social Sciences, Gender Studies or other relevant discipline.<\/li>\n<li>At least 5 years\u2019 experience in lobbying and advocacy work on gender and development work.<\/li>\n<li>Strong knowledge\/ prior experience of working in local government in South Africa.<\/li>\n<li>Research, advocacy and training skills.<\/li>\n<li>Strong strategic, conceptual and operational skills<\/li>\n<li>Financial, fund raising and report writing skills<\/li>\n<li>Excellent networking and inter-personal skills<\/li>\n<li>Excellent verbal and writing skills<\/li>\n<li>IT proficiency\u2013 knowledge of MS Office packages like excel, MSProject, Powerpoint, and Outlook.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in at least one widely spoken local language in addition to English<\/li>\n<li>A valid drivers\u2019 license.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>General conditions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The post which is for an initial period of one-year period is based in Johannesburg.
