{"id":59743,"date":"2020-12-14T08:16:52","date_gmt":"2020-12-14T06:16:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=59743"},"modified":"2020-12-11T14:27:38","modified_gmt":"2020-12-11T12:27:38","slug":"malamulele-onward-recent-ongoing-recruitment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/malamulele-onward-recent-ongoing-recruitment.html","title":{"rendered":"Malamulele Onward Recent Ongoing Recruitment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Malamulele Onward is a small non-profit organization committed to improving the quality of life of children with disabilities particularly Cerebral Palsy and their carers living in resource-constrained settings.\u00a0We are looking for an experienced person\u00a0to be our new Programme Manager. \u00a0This is a\u00a0part-time position, based in our Johannesburg office to start in February 2020.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Programme Manager<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Johannesburg<\/p>\n<p>The Programme Manager is responsible for the successful delivery, co-ordination and management projects\u2019 activities.\u00a0The Programme Manager is accountable for the overall integrity and coherence of the projects\/programmes. To take total responsibility for planning, structuring, leading and executing programmes\u2019 activities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> initial contract is for 1 year with possibility of extension( or full-time) depending of the availability of funds.<br \/>\n<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Key duties and responsibilities include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>P<a href=\"https:\/\/www.finance-ni.gov.uk\/articles\/programme-and-project-planning\">lanning<\/a>\u00a0and designing of the programmes and proactively monitoring their progress, resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective action.<\/li>\n<li>Defining the programme&#8217;s governance arrangements.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring effective\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.finance-ni.gov.uk\/articles\/programme-and-project-quality-management\">quality assurance<\/a>\u00a0and the overall integrity of the programmes.<\/li>\n<li>Managing the programmes\u2019 budget and monitoring expenditure.<\/li>\n<li>Managing\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.finance-ni.gov.uk\/articles\/programme-and-project-management-communication\">communications<\/a>\u00a0with all\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.finance-ni.gov.uk\/articles\/programme-and-project-stakeholders\">stakeholders<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Managing risks to the programmes\u2019 successful outcomes.<\/li>\n<li>Initiating extra activities and other management interventions wherever gaps in the programme are identified or issues arise.<\/li>\n<li>Supervising staff.<\/li>\n<li>Managing all programmes\u2019 activities.<\/li>\n<li>Networking and collaboration with potential partners.<\/li>\n<li>Contributing to the planning of the organization\u2019s future programmes and activities.<\/li>\n<li>Leading with the fundraising initiatives for programmes.<\/li>\n<li>Preparing reports.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Minimum requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>BA in social sciences with more than 5 years\u2019 experience in programme management or a relevant field; MA is a plus.<\/li>\n<li>Passion for children with special needs.<\/li>\n<li>General knowledge and understanding of childhood disability issues in Southern Africa, including local, regional and international protocols, conventions and policies concerning the rights of people living with disability<\/li>\n<li>Massive experience in preparing grant applications.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Essential skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proven experience as a Programme Manager or other managerial position<\/li>\n<li>Organization and project management planning (planning, monitoring, budgets, reporting, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Experience is community development.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent people management skills<\/li>\n<li>Experience in training and mentoring<\/li>\n<li>Excellent problem-solving ability<\/li>\n<li>Excellent knowledge of performance evaluation<\/li>\n<li>Be comfortable in an uncertain environment<\/li>\n<li>Thorough understanding of project\/program management techniques and methods<\/li>\n<li>Ability to remain focused whilst taking a flexible approach<\/li>\n<li>Ability to multi-task, manage time and oneself, and prioritize with minimum supervision.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent writing skills and a good command of English (with additional local languages a distinct advantage)<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint,<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You should also be a South African citizen (or hold a valid work permit), have a valid driver\u2019s
