{"id":59748,"date":"2020-12-14T09:39:23","date_gmt":"2020-12-14T07:39:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=59748"},"modified":"2020-12-11T17:31:18","modified_gmt":"2020-12-11T15:31:18","slug":"southsouthnorth-ssn-current-job-opportunity-apply-now","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/southsouthnorth-ssn-current-job-opportunity-apply-now.html","title":{"rendered":"SouthSouthNorth (SSN) Current Job Opportunity &#8211; Apply Now!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SouthSouthNorth (SSN) came into being in 1999 when H\u00e9l\u00e8ne Connor (HELIO International), Emilio La Rovere, (COPPE Federal University of Rio de Janeiro), Steve Thorne, and Stefan Raubenheimer met up during the inter-sessional\u00a0 Subsidiary Body meeting of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) in Bonn, Germany, in late 1999.<\/p>\n<p>Steve and Emilio had been commissioned by Helio International to propose a set of criteria and indicators to appraise sustainable development attributes of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/southsouthnorth.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/CDM-Criteria-and-Indicators-1999.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Clean Development Mechanism<\/a>\u00a0projects and present them at a side event at the Climate Change event.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: \u00a0Junior Operations Officer<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>South African<\/p>\n<p class=\"rtejustify\">The purpose of Operations Officer will support the technical and strategic implementation of SSN\u2019s operations and organisational workflow. The role also includes operationalising workflow systems, and the last-mile implementation and subsequent maintenance of the organisation\u2019s financial architecture.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Project Operations:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Budget design, construction and implementation oversight<\/li>\n<li>Bid submission management<\/li>\n<li>Project resourcing<\/li>\n<li>Programme-level financial management<\/li>\n<li>Reporting on financial and operational deliverables<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"rtejustify\">Organisational, Operations and Workflow Management:\u00a0The design, building, maintenance and analysis of systems and processes that collate and track project and organisational information with the goal of creating efficiencies and improving decision-making within every level at SSN.<\/p>\n<p class=\"rtejustify\">If you have an excellent eye for detail, are a problem solver and solutions orientated individual who is not afraid of making decisions and has great analytical skills then we would definitely like to hear from you.<\/p>\n<p><strong>To apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please complete this\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSdiovA4OBHa7Ecd72Yt9ikurYnoKsvMEoWUdYdzwVBHgkhdTw\/viewform\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Google Form<\/a><\/strong>.
