We have a holistic and community-led approach to the sustainable development of impoverished communities, with a focus on early childhood development, the wellbeing of older persons and afterschool initiatives for children.<\/p>\n<p>We have been working with at-risk communities for over 55 years through the provision of resources, training and support.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Communications Manager<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Head Office, Woodstock.<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of this role is to build manage and maintain a positive brand perception and awareness of Ikamva Labantu through internal and external communications. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Sustainable Development.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage Corporate Communications<\/li>\n<li>Manage external communications and platforms<\/li>\n<li>Ikamva Labantu Branding\/Brand Management<\/li>\n<li>Design and Photography<\/li>\n<li>Support Internal Communications<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Minimum Requirements &amp; Competencies:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A degree or diploma relevant to the field of Marketing and \/ or Communications<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of five years proven experience in Communications<\/li>\n<li>Driver\u2019s Licence and own vehicle<\/li>\n<li>Excellent verbal and written English ability and strong attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Planning and organising ability and strong interpersonal skills<\/li>\n<li>Experience in networking\/facilitating partnerships and working with external stakeholders<\/li>\n<li>Enthusiasm and willingness to work within township communities<\/li>\n<li>A valid driver\u2019s licence and own vehicle<\/li>\n<li>Advantageous not essential:\n<ul>\n<li>Previous experience in the non-profit sector<\/li>\n<li>Basic design skills and knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and\/or Illustrator<\/li>\n<li>Photography skills<\/li>\n<li>Basic video editing skills<\/li>\n<li>Experience with WordPress (or similar CRM systems), Mailchimp and Google Analytics<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A market related remuneration package is offered and Ikamva Labantu is committed to the principles of Employment Equity Legislation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>To apply\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please forward application by email to the Human Resources Department at <a href=\"mailto:careers@ikamva.org.za\"><strong>careers@ikamva.org.za<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>If not contacted within 14 days after closing date, please consider your application unsuccessful.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>Thursday, 31 December, 2020<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ikamva Labantu is a non-profit organisation that works throughout Cape Town\u2019s township communities towards a more just society where human rights can be fully actualised.
