MatCH implements donor funded projects to improve HIV and TB outcomes through providing technical assistance and direct service delivery support.<\/p>\n<p>MatCH is looking to fill the following position under a project aimed to strengthen the health care delivery platform for TB in the Eastern Cape.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0<\/strong><strong>District Program Manager<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location<\/strong>: OR Tambo District<br \/>\n<strong>Duration of Contract<\/strong>:\u00a0Fixed term contract ending 30 September 2022<br \/>\n<strong>Closing date for submission of applications<\/strong>: 18 December 2020<br \/>\n<strong>1x District Program Manager (Ref: 262)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Main purpose of the job<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To provide strategic planning, governance and management to the programme in the district. Oversee the successful delivery of the Programme outputs. The incumbent will also act as a pivotal point of contact for relevant stakeholders.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key performance areas<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Oversee the implementation of all project activities and outputs in line with project workplan and standard operation procedures<\/li>\n<li>Assist in the identification of project needs\/resources<\/li>\n<li>Support the development of a quality management plan and ensure quality assurance and quality monitoring throughout the programme life span<\/li>\n<li>Support the project team to identify and profile best practices<\/li>\n<li>Support teams in the design and implementation of programme interventions and strengthening of all components of current Programmes.<\/li>\n<li>Help to maximize the impact of local delivery of TB services through effective communication of knowledge, skills and learning across relevant networks and communities of practice<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate the successful implementation of TB\/HIV programme activities to ensure that the programmes meet set targets in accordance with national and donor standards<\/li>\n<li>Provide or facilitate technical leadership to programs in the areas of HIV\/TB service delivery, task shifting and programme implementation<\/li>\n<li>Support IPC guidelines, policies and measures within teams at facilities<\/li>\n<li>Assist in programme monitoring, evaluation and reporting<\/li>\n<li>Participate in development of best practices and enhancement of program activities, TB prevention, anti-tuberculosis treatment initiation in children and adults<\/li>\n<li>Regularly liaise and meet with facilities team to review progress, identify and resolve challenges and problems<\/li>\n<li>Provide regular feedback to management, relevant program team members and Department of Health employees<\/li>\n<li>Strengthen coordination by developing project specific standard operating procedures (SOPs), forms and guidelines<\/li>\n<li>Manage and monitor study budgets through working with operations and finance staff<\/li>\n<li>Ensure project assets are managed in line with MatCH Institute policy<\/li>\n<li>Staff Management<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required minimum education, training and technical support<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Relevant bachelor\u2019s degree in public health, or relevant\/related field (or commensurate experience)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Minimum work experience <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>At least three (3) years working experience in the areas of TB, DR-TB, HIV, and public health.<\/li>\n<li>At least three (3) experience in working on implementing multi-faceted health Programmes, with preference to one year of experience working in international donor funded projects in a programmatic capacity.<\/li>\n<li>Good knowledge of TB diagnosis and treatment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Desirable additional education, work experience and personal abilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A relevant postgraduate degree will be an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of research and activities\/requirements related thereto<\/li>\n<li>Good knowledge of TB diagnosis and treatment<\/li>\n<li>Experience working in a donor funded organization \/ NGO or project-based environment<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of national and provincial health structures<\/li>\n<li>Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint<\/li>\n<li>Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with Government and other stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work under pressure in a resource limited environment<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication skills including oral and presentation skills<\/li>\n<li>Excellent time management skills<\/li>\n<li>Excellent project management, organizational and coordination skills<\/li>\n<li>Experience in training, facilitation and material development<\/li>\n<li>Researcher capabilities<\/li>\n<li>Good written and verbal communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Report writing ability<\/li>\n<li>Administrative ability<\/li>\n<li>Management\/supervisory skills<\/li>\n<li>Conflict resolution skills<\/li>\n<li>Risk management skills<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in English<\/li>\n<li>Valid driver\u2019s license and ability to travel extensively<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When submitting applications, the Position being applied for including reference number as alluded to on the advert must be included in the email subject line.
