\nTo supervise Artisans to ensure the necessary maintenance is carried out for maximum availability and safety of machinery in the incumbent\u2019s area of responsibility.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022To assist the General Engineering Foreman to plan work requirements and priorities to ensure availability of materials, equipment, to achieve the output.
\n\u2022The incumbent will also be required to lead the artisans so that they have clear work expectations and plans
\n\u2022Implement and maintain all applicable safety regulations, acts, codes of practice, standards, discipline and assist with HR and IR issues.
\n\u2022Standby duty, overtime and work on Sundays\/public holidays will be required.
\n\u2022He\/she will report to the General Engineering Foreman and will be appointed by the Manager under Regulation 2.9.2.<\/p>\n
\nMinimum Requirements:<\/p>\n
\n\u2022Relevant trade certificate (MIETTB or Olifantsfontein registration)
\n\u2022Minimum of 5 years\u2019 experience as qualified Artisan
\n\u2022Some General Engineering Foreman relieving experience
\n\u2022Valid certificate of physical fitness
\n\u2022Ability to read and write in English
\n\u2022Ability to communicate with people on different levels
\n\u2022Computer literate (Excel, Word & Email)
\n\u2022Extensive experience for maintenance of Hydraulic circuits, General Mechanical, Engineering workshop practice (lathes, pedestal drills, welding techniques, etc.), out electric and diesel engines.
\n\u2022Valid driver\u2019s license<\/p>\n
