Department, the Eastern Cape Department of Education and the Limpopo Department of Education.\u00a0The programme started in 2009 as a Literacy competition aimed at advancing the learning experiences and behaviour of children in grades 4, 5 and 6 in a fun and competitive format.<\/p>\n<p>Over the years, the programme has expanded its offering beyond Literacy, with a wide range of curriculum-based subjects including Literacy, Story Writing &amp; Poetry, Mathematics, Science, Debating and Entrepreneurship.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Growsmart Project Manager<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong> Claremont, Western Cape, South Africa<br \/>\n<strong>Reference:\u00a0<\/strong># PM &#8211; Western Cape<br \/>\n<strong>Contract Type:<\/strong> Permanent<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job purpose<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Responsible for the coordination of Growsmart initiatives and management of stakeholder relationships.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duties and responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Project Management &amp; Coordination<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022Contribute to the conceptualization of marketing material<br \/>\n\u2022Manage the launch presentations for schools<br \/>\n\u2022Liaise with WCED, ECDOE, Bursars, Suppliers<br \/>\n\u2022Oversee the communication, on a regular basis, with all the schools across the 6 competition sections (Literacy, Story writing &amp; Poetry, Maths &amp; Science, debating and Entrepreneurship<\/p>\n<p><strong>Monitoring and Evaluation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022Coordinate focus groups\/interview sessions at competition level with the participating schools<br \/>\n\u2022Collate feedback forms from participating schools<br \/>\n\u2022Coordinate volunteers for competition rounds from various partners<br \/>\n\u2022Secure and coordinate marking team for story writing competition<br \/>\n\u2022Secure and coordinate judges, score keepers and quizzes masters for the competition rounds<br \/>\n\u2022Coordinate workshops for mentors<br \/>\n\u2022Regularly update and maintain the website<br \/>\n\u2022Manage PR, Social media &amp; Communications in collaboration with the marketing department<br \/>\n\u2022Form partnerships with other companies, collaborating with other projects and obtaining sponsorships<br \/>\n\u2022Manage school travel claims\/expenses for competition days<br \/>\n\u2022Coordinate Provincial Spelling Bee Communication &amp; Liaising with Growsmart participants<br \/>\n\u2022Mange prize handover to winning schools for all the competitions<br \/>\n\u2022Manage the purchasing and distribution of launch handout items and Growsmart newspapers<br \/>\n\u2022Obtain quotations for competition rounds and finals<\/p>\n<p><strong>Admin &amp; Reporting<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022Prepare and monitor budgets by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecast<br \/>\n\u2022Deliver all reporting requirement to the General Manager<\/p>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><br \/>\nYears of Experience<\/p>\n<p>\u20225 years\u2019 minimum relevant experience<br \/>\n\u2022Stakeholder management experience is essential<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022Social Science Degree or Business Management related degree<\/p>\n<p><strong>Competencies and Skills<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022Ability
