\nIn partnership with the leadership of the Advisory Services Division, the incumbent will be required to:
\n\u2022Determine the long-term strategic digital objectives of the Advisory Service line.
\n\u2022Ensure business growth through directing and managing all digital advisory development and delivery activities that align with the
\norganisational and divisional strategy and key business objectives.
\n\u2022Lead the digital implementation output of assigned clients, producing market-leading solutions to drive expected client outcomes.
\n\u2022Direct and manage the overall operational performance of digital solutions services across the regional offices of BDO South Africa and the
\nsub-service lines in Advisory.
\n\u2022Break into new digital areas that align with BDO South Africa\u2019s ambition for a new digital revenue stream in line with financial targets.
\n\u2022Manage the on-going development, enhancement and rotation of Digital Advisory and Digital Implementation Services offerings with a
\nfocus on delivering high quality and high-value services for our clients.
\n\u2022Construct a high-performing and engaged Digital Advisory Solutions sales and delivery team.
\n\u2022Understanding digital solution trends in the relevant client sector markets for possible solution enhancement and implementation.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022Strategy and Sustainability \u2013 Understanding key objectives for clients and BDO, setting priorities and direction and aligning people to the
\ndigital objectives.
\n\u2022Leadership and Succession \u2013 Influencing clients, teams, and individuals positively, leading by example and establishing valued relationships
\nat all levels. Developing high performing individuals and teams for consistent and effective service delivery.
\n\u2022Marketing and Business Development \u2013 Analysing and exploring market trends specific to the firm\u2019s digital services and implement
\nmeasures that lead to growth. The Head of Digital Solutions will represent BDO SA in their area of expertise and is responsible for
\npromoting BDO and its brand. The candidate is required to be (become) a respected and well-known thought leader in digital services
\ngenerally and\/or specific digital solutions.
\n\u2022Financial Performance \u2013 Managing the growth of the digital business line\u2019s revenue and profitability and assisting Partners and Directors in
\nthe Advisory service lines to achieve their Regional Office and Business Unit financial objectives set out in the business plan and strategy
\nrelating to digital platforms.
\n\u2022Risk Management \u2013 Understanding the risk consequences of digital solutions and assisting with matters that may potentially have risk
\nmanagement implications for BDO SA, and recommend resolutions.
\n\u2022Quality Control \u2013 Establishing and maintaining quality standards for digital services as well as determining the technical training needs of
\nthe various levels of Partners, Directors and staff in the Service Lines.
\n\u2022Human Resources \u2013 In consultation with People and Culture, implementing effective succession planning, people management,
\ndevelopment, recruitment, and retention strategies for the division. Ensuring the promotion of employment equity and transformation.
\n\u2022Information Technology \u2013 Identifying critical system problems and concerns that may hamper the delivery of quality service to clients.
\nLiaising with IT to resolve the issues.
\n\u2022Administration – Attending monthly OPSCO meetings and report back on activities and developments in the Service Line. Ensure smooth
\noperations for the Digital Advisory business unit.
\n\u2022Project Management \u2013 Project managing the delivery of digital implementation plans end-to-end that meet the briefed campaign objectives,
\nand meet best in class digital systems standards.
\n\u2022Key Stakeholder Engagement -Working closely with client leads, translating a brief into a digital plan and drive the successful delivery of the
\ncampaign from start to finish.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022A relevant degree in a business or science discipline, Master\u2019s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) will be an advantage.
\n\u2022Minimum 8-10 years of complex technology sales and delivery experience.
\n\u2022Minimum 5 years of practical experience with digital sales and delivery.
\n\u2022Commercial experience in running a business\/business unit will be an advantage.
\n\u2022Sales training and related certificates will be an advantage.
\n\u2022Relevant industry certifications that reflect core skills to run a digital practice.
\n\u2022Working enterprise architecture experience focusing on digital transformations.
\n\u2022Distinguished technology background.
\n\u2022Recent practical digital project delivery experience.
\n\u2022Experience in managing end-to-end advisory projects.
