Job Functions Operator Industries Mining Specification<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Excavator operator<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong> Rustenburg, North West, South Africa<br \/>\n<strong>Reference:<\/strong># Excavator operator<br \/>\n<strong>Contract Type:<\/strong> Permanent\/Contract 24 Months<br \/>\n<strong>Salary:<\/strong> Market Related<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Summary:<\/strong><br \/>\nTo assist operations where an excavator is required to make the operating environment safer and more convenient by opening trenches and cleaning out areas where other equipment have difficulty operating.<\/p>\n<p>Operation of excavator to either load, dig , clean trenches or ditch slimes dam<\/p>\n<p>Ensure that relevant SOP\u2019s ( Standard operating procedure ) for the specific machine is followed at all times<\/p>\n<p>Responsible for general housekeeping of the machine<\/p>\n<p>General inspection of the machine before and after the shift and complete inspection checklist.<\/p>\n<p>Adhere to safety rules and regulations.<br \/>\nRequirements<\/p>\n<p><strong>Education Requirement:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Minimum Grade 12<\/p>\n<p>Valid MQA accredited Excavator Competency Certificate<\/p>\n<p>Valid Code 10 driver\u2019s license<\/p>\n<p>Previous excavator license or permit will be advantage<\/p>\n<p>Tailings experience will be an advantage<\/p>\n<p><strong>EXPERIENCE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Approximately 2-3 years relevant work experience in an earthmoving environment<\/p>\n<p>Experience and certification with other Machinery will be advantageous<\/p>\n<p><strong>SKILLS, QUALITIES AND ABILITIES REQUIRED<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Excellent communication skills ( verbal &amp; written)<\/p>\n<p>Ability to operate without supervision<\/p>\n<p>Able to read, write and speak (English)<\/p>\n<p>Planning &amp; problem solving skills<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Special Regulations\/ Requirement:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Clear criminal record<\/p>\n<p>Pass security screening<\/p>\n<p>Medical fitness must be good<\/p>\n<p>Dover testing<\/p>\n<p><strong>To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/jb.skillsmapafrica.com\/Account\/Login?ReturnUrl=%2FCandidate%2FFullRegistration%3FJobKey%3Dcc1a1f04e6634af8ba9c457c0111e48b%26isApplication%3D1&amp;ReturnUrlWithProfile=%2FJob%2FIndex%2F45791%3FAutoApply%3DTrue\"><strong>Click Here!<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Applicaton Deadline:<\/strong> Date 22\/01\/2021<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Founded in 1912, Fraser Alexander has grown from humble beginnings to become a key player in the South African mining industry and in selected global locations.
