\nPrepare, examine and analyze accounting records, financial statements and
\nother financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance to
\nreporting and procedural standards.
\nFinancial Management and control
\nPrepare monthly and annual financial statements for management and auditing
\npurposes. Ensure effective daily cash management of the company. Record
\nasset transactions in respect of additions, disposals and transfers on a daily
\nbasis to ensure that transactions are allocated accurately in terms of amounts,\u00a0VAT, description and account.<\/p>\n
\nand loss account, the balance sheet and the cash flow statement. Compile
\ncomplete, accurate and timely accounting records on a monthly basis. Prepare
\nmonth end file with reconciliations and documentation to support the trial
\nbalance.<\/p>\n
\nAssist with the delivery of financial policies, guidelines, and protocols to ensure
\nthe company complies with regulations and good financial practice.<\/p>\n
\nDevelop knowledge and understanding of the organization’s policies and
\nprocedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct to ensure
\nown work adheres to those standards. Obtain authorization from a supervisor or
\nmanager for any exceptions from mandatory procedure.
\nData Collection & Analysis
\nDraw conclusions and assess impact from analysis and interpretation of
\nfinancial data. Interpret the impact of unusual figures identified by analytical
\nreview.<\/p>\n
\nPrepare monthly and annual financial statements for management and auditing
\npurposes. Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly and annual statutory returns.
\nReporting
\nExtract and combine data to generate standard reports.<\/p>\n
\nEstablish and maintain professional relationships with internal and external
\nAuditors and business partners on a daily basis. Provide accurate information
\nand respond and resolve enquiries to a satisfactory outcome.<\/p>\n
\nGenerate monthly depreciation journal on the financial system. Record financial
\ntransactions on a daily basis into the applicable business systems to ensure the
\naccuracy and completeness of information.<\/p>\n
\nImplement improvements and provide feedback on them. Use change
\nmanagement systems and protocols to provide routine supportive services.
\nLeadership and Direction
\nSupervise a team performing routine work.<\/p>\n
\nB.com degree (Financial accounting) or equivalent CA(SA) undergraduate
\nqualification at a SAICA accredited university. Completed Honors degree (CA)

\n3 years post articles work experience in the Financial services industry

\nManagerial Experience
\nExperience of general supervision of more junior colleagues (7 to 12 months)<\/p>\n
