Job Title: Engineering Safety Officer<\/strong> <\/p>\n Job Summary:<\/strong> <\/p>\n Competencies:<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022Conduct inspections at the various sites Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022Grade 12 qualification Selection will be made in accordance with the Company\u2019s Employment Equity Plan. <\/p>\n

\nSalary:<\/strong> Market Related<\/p>\n
\nDeveloping, implementing and improving the health and safety plans, programmes and procedures in the workplace. Ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety legislation.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022Conduct incident and accident investigations according to safety protocols and corporate
\nrequirements
\n\u2022Participate in safety audits including all logistical arrangements
\n\u2022Facilitate Risk and Change Management process
\n\u2022Planned inspections 30, 45, 90 days
\n\u2022Co-ordinate safety meetings
\n\u2022Provide statistics to management
\n\u2022Conduct \/ Facilitate Risk Assessments
\n\u2022Present Induction
\n\u2022Ability to train and coach
\n\u2022Conduct Visible Felt Leadership<\/p>\n
\n\u2022National Diploma in Safety and\/or Engineering management will be advantageous.
\n\u2022Knowledge of the MHSA and relevant Legislation.
\n\u2022Minimum 3-5 years\u2019 experience as an Artisan
\n\u2022Minimum 3 years\u2019 engineering safety officer experience
\n\u2022Mechanical or Electrical Trade qualification
\n\u2022Valid certificate of physical fitness.
\n\u2022Computer Literacy
\n\u2022Health and Safety Inspection experience
\n\u2022Vertical and Incline Shafts safety experience
\n\u2022TMM and RBE risk management knowledge
\n\u2022Engineering SAMTRAC and other safety courses\/ COMSOC 1 & 2
\n\u2022Risk assessment techniques application
\n\u2022Accident\/Incident investigation experience. (Root Cause)
\n\u2022Valid driver\u2019s license<\/p>\n
