NACOSA is a network of over 1,900 civil society organizations working to turn the tide on HIV, AIDS and TB in Southern Africa. NACOSA promotes dialogue, builds capacity with accredited training, mentoring and technical assistance and channels resources to support service delivery on the ground, particularly among key populations, vulnerable children and women and girls.<\/p>\n

Job Title<\/strong>: Monitoring and Evaluation Data Quality Officer<\/strong> Job Summary:<\/strong> \u2022Conduct thorough and extensive data verification of all data, including detailed checking of reported data against source documents, to ensure all data captured is accurate and valid Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022A Matric certificate

\nThe key performance areas of the role are:<\/strong><\/p>\n
\n\u2022Visit sites to verify data on a monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual basis.
\n\u2022Write reports and provide feedback on data quality issues detected
\n\u2022Clean the raw data where needed in accordance with good data management practices
\n\u2022Work close with the programmatic team, understand programmatic imperatives and performance indicators
\n\u2022Review data on CBIMS to identify and address any missing data, inconsistencies, discrepancies, or errors
\n\u2022Ensure that sub-awardees are well prepared for SIMS assessments by USAID
\n\u2022Assist sub awardee staff with the understanding and implementation of the M&E system and to assess data quality, validity and reliability
\n\u2022Perform basic data analysis within the view to provide recommendations on improvement of data quality measures and controls
\n\u2022Attend regular M&E workshops, relevant staff enrichment training sessions, meetings and training courses as required
\n\u2022Assist with training and technical support of NACOSA and grantee and\/or member organization staff on M&E policies, procedures and tools
\nRequirements<\/p>\n
\n\u2022Some additional tertiary qualification in a related field will be highly advantageous
\n\u2022Minimum of 2 years\u2019 experience in a similar position
\n\u2022Advanced computer skills: MS Word, Excel, Outlook. Experience in data management software will be an advantage
\n\u2022Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced, high stress environment
\n\u2022Exceptional attention to detail
\n\u2022Process driven with the ability to perform duties in structured environment
\n\u2022Ability to act with integrity and honesty in the performance of all functions
\n\u2022Results-oriented, professional, accountable and proactive
\n\u2022Demonstrated ability to drive high quality data management processes
