\nThis role will be based in at Parktown\/Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital<\/p>\n
\nResponsible for project coordination and management through:
\nClinical tasks:
\nAssess potential study participants to determine eligibility for study participation according to protocol requirements
\nTake medical histories and conduct physical examinations on study participants according to protocol
\nFollow up participants according to protocol requirements, including safety management and reporting
\nManage study participants that develop medical complications arising from, or during, study procedures.
\nReport on study participants according to regulatory and sponsor requirements
\nRefer participants for further management
\nApply medical judgment related to adverse event reporting; and follow up thereof<\/p>\n
\nConduct procedures related to the enrollment and follow up of study participants
\nComplete, compile and submit study case report forms (CRFs) and source documentation accurately, comprehensively, timeously and according to GCP standards
\nRespond timeously and accurately in keeping with GCP to data queries from Lab, QA and Data staff
\nMonitor and report on the safety of participants
\nProcess and store study documents with strict adherence to documentation handling procedures.
\nEvaluate and ensure appropriate follow up of, laboratory findings in accordance with research findings.<\/p>\n
\nQualification\/Professional Membership:
\nBachelor\u2019s degree in medicine – MBCHB
\nRegistered Medical Practitioner with the HPCSA
\nGCP Certification
\nValid driver\u2019s licence and own car<\/p>\n
\nPrevious experience in clinical research will be an advantage<\/p>\n
\nWell-developed problem solving skills
\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills in English
\nAbility to work independently and in a team environment
\nAbility to meet objectives against tight deadlines
\nMeticulous attention to detail
\nWord processing, spreadsheet and database skills<\/p>\n
