{"id":61063,"date":"2021-02-04T08:00:16","date_gmt":"2021-02-04T06:00:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=61063"},"modified":"2021-02-04T00:38:14","modified_gmt":"2021-02-03T22:38:14","slug":"the-haven-night-shelter-organisation-recent-job-vacancy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/the-haven-night-shelter-organisation-recent-job-vacancy.html","title":{"rendered":"The Haven Night Shelter Organisation Recent Job Vacancy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Haven Night Shelter Organisation (www.haven.org.za), a non \u2013governmental organisation working to help the homeless back to a home, family and community, require a dynamic Operations Manager that will be based at the Head Office, 2 Napier Street, Cape Town.The Haven Night Shelter Organisation\u2019s method is to offer social work services, rehabilitation opportunities, family reunification services, physical care and support available to adult people living on the streets who are committed to reintegration.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Operations Manager<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location: <\/strong>Cape Town<br \/>\n<strong>Contract Type:<\/strong> Permanent<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Summary:<\/strong><br \/>\nThe role of the Operational Managers is to ensure:<\/p>\n<p>The realisation of the Haven objectives as amended from time to time.<br \/>\nThat Haven shelters comply with relevant the Norms &amp; Standards for the Shelters, health and safety requirements, are clean and well run.<br \/>\nAn efficient, effective and dignified hospitality service at Haven shelters.<br \/>\nthat the occupancy targets are reached and;<br \/>\nNegative exits are reduced and positive exits are increased.<br \/>\nThe Operations Manager reports to the CEO.<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nMinimum Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Degree or other accredited tertiary qualification in Management, preferably in the Social Sciences.<br \/>\n5-10 years\u2019 work experience.<br \/>\nCode 08 driver\u2019s licence (non-negotiable).<br \/>\nAdvanced Computer skills- MS Outlook, MS Word and Excel.<br \/>\nAbility to build positive relationships with key stakeholders, and good motivational ability to build teams internally.<br \/>\nExcellent multitasking and organizational skills and problem-solving capabilities.<br \/>\nAbility to work under minimal supervision.<br \/>\nExperience in the NGO sector will be an advantage.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Audit of all shelters with specific reference to referrals, outreach, hospitality, client care, client complaints, maintenance and hospitality;<br \/>\nReviewing of all the practices and SOP\u2019s with regards to the above mentioned;<br \/>\nTo ensure that all policies are reviewed, developed, implemented and monitor to enable the harmonising of all shelters<br \/>\nBuild and establish working relationships (regular meetings understanding of roles and responsibilities) with, inter alia;<br \/>\nCEO and Manager at Head Office and<br \/>\nCluster Manager\/ Shelter Managers and the Operational Manager<br \/>\nTo assist the Shelters where there are no Shelter Managers and;<br \/>\nResponsible for identifying, managing and mitigating all risk factors for the organisation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Salary Package:<\/strong> R25 000.00<\/p>\n<p><strong>To Apply:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Haven Night Shelter Welfare Organisation is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
