Working with the Project Data Manager, the responsibilities of the Assistant Data Specialist include assisting in overseeing the project\u2019s various data systems, organising, storing and analysing data as efficiently as possible and always upholding agreed-upon security standards. \n\u2022Communicate with principle investigators to determine scope, requirements, deliverables and deadlines;
\n\u2022Manage IT applications and systems in research data collection setting;
\n\u2022Ensure data quality control;
\n\u2022Document technical specifications;
\n\u2022Co-ordinate with research staff and field supervisors to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of the data collection and data entry tools and processes;
\n\u2022Run regular data quality assurance checks and maintain data integrity;
\n\u2022Design databases, create scripts, run basic validation scripts and debugging errors;
\n\u2022Organize and merge research data from multiple sources;
\n\u2022Conducting diagnostic tests and evaluating performance metrics;
\n\u2022Troubleshoot database issues and implementing database recovery procedures and safety protocols;

\n\u2022At least two (2) Programming languages
\n\u2022Android applications installation and trouble shooting
\n\u2022Candidates ability to perform the following roles in Research Electronic
\n.<\/strong>Build REDCap projects and develop REDCap data dictionaries,
\n.<\/strong>Implement branching logic and calculations and create reports and run REDCap projects
\n.<\/strong>Troubleshoot issues related to the REDCap installation and functionality.
\n.<\/strong>Identify bugs and report them to the REDCap developers.
\n.<\/strong>Participate in the REDCap forums.<\/p>\n

\n\u2022Prior experience with HSRC will be an added advantage.
