\nThe purpose of the SHEQ Manager is to ensure that the company complies with health, safety and assurance regulations and quality standards by developing and maintaining specific rules and standards. To supervise and coordinate work systems to ensure that the products or services of the company meet the highest quality standards and that the working conditions of the company are favourable and safe.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022Determine the strategic direction and continuous business improvement through SHEQ management systems
\n\u2022Implement new or existing SHEQ-related legislation, rules and company standards
\n\u2022Complete prevention inspections on a regular basis and ensure records are kept and maintained
\n\u2022Develop monthly SHEQ Communication Strategy
\n\u2022Lead the company in meeting its obligations under the Control of Major Accident Hazards Regulations 1999<\/p>\n
\n\u2022Assist in retaining current quality accreditations and work towards attaining new ones
\n\u2022Monitor production performance
\n\u2022Ensure QMS achieves intended results
\n\u2022Identify & implement approved improvement opportunities<\/p>\n
\n\u2022To provide support and expertise in incident investigation and reporting
\n\u2022To conduct occupational health and safety related surveys
\n\u2022To produce and coordinate the yearly SHEQ action plan and prepare monthly reports
\n\u2022Accountable for managing the relationship with the onsite clinic and reporting and managing all injuries on duty; and ensuring compliance with the Workmen\u2019s Compensation Act (WCA)
\n\u2022Responsible for managing the relevant safety audit and certification processes<\/p>\n
\n\u2022Recruit and select new employees through upholding HR policies and Procedures
\n\u2022Investigate and initiate disciplinary action according to employee misconduct<\/p>\n
