Job Summary:<\/strong>
\nThe requirements of the position:
\n\u2022A suitable professional qualification i.e. a degree or diploma in music or equivalent experience, having specialised in electric guitar
\n\u2022Appropriate educational experience
\n\u2022Experience in teaching electric guitar up to grade 8 level according to the Rockschool and Trinity Rock & Pop syllabi
\n\u2022The candidate will be responsible to prepare students for the practical component of subject music up to Grade 12
\n\u2022The ability to train ensemble groups and source the necessary repertoire for group work
\n\u2022Good organisational skills, preferably experience in organising musical groups and\/or events
\n\u2022The willingness and ability to teach beginners
\n\u2022Previous experience in teaching in an IEB school will be an advantage
\n\u2022Fully computer literate with the ability to incorporate technology in the classroom and for administrative tasks
\n\u2022The willingness to perform with ensembles within the department at special occasions
\n\u2022Vibrant, hard-working and enthusiastic candidates who work well in a team and who believe they would be an asset to this exuberant department
\n\u2022An awareness of the nature of the school and willingness to commit to its all-round ethos, co-curricular activities and pastoral approach
\n\u2022Proof of registration with SACE supported by a sexual offender\u2019s clearance certificate<\/p>\n
