Purpose of the Job<\/h5>\n

Develop the sales strategy, in collaboration with the Executive Sales & Marketing to achieve sales targets in all channels in the region.
\nExecute the strategy and business plan and measure growth and performance of all Sales Channels against targets in the region ensuring alignment and consistency with corporate strategy and products and services offerings
\nBe innovative to achieve sales revenue and acquisition targets in Formal, informal and CBS on a consistent basis in line with defined budgets and the setting of channel and regional specific KPIs and performance targets
\nDevelop and manage sales and business opportunities and relationships in both existing and in new channels including but not limited to Government, SME, Corporate and Main Market while ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and growth objectives
\nVendor manage and oversee the field marketing KPI\u2019s in the region ensuring performance, increased visibility and equity of the Cell C brand, improved reporting, improved relationships with all stakeholders leading to increased growth in the target markets<\/p><\/div>\n

\n
Key Duties & Responsibilities<\/h5>\n

Sales
\n\u2022Define and execute the regional sales & marketing strategy in support of the overall commercial growth strategy to achieve the sales revenue target.
\n\u2022Define the targets for all channels and align and allocate specific targets to department and individuals
\n\u2022Monitor, measure and report as required the achievement of regional sales revenue and acquisition targets on a consistent basis and in line with the national Sales strategy
\n\u2022Manage and motivate sales teams within the region to boost sales campaigns via regional channel marketing and trade activations
\n\u2022Be Cell C\u2019s regular senior manager presence in the trade and be active across all channels including formal and informal
\nField Marketing
\n\u2022Vendor manage the regional KPI with the vendor in the region to meet or exceed field marketing business requirements as defined by the contract and the cyclical brief.
\n\u2022Collaborate closely with Channel and Sales Operations to ensure alignment between regional channel marketing activities with the roll out of associated marketing collaterals and point of sale material in store
\nChannel Management
\n\u2022Manage the relationship with the Head Offices of Channel Partners located in the region in to drive the Key Account Managers and Channel Heads to achieve targets
\n\u2022Manage the relationships and performance management of the Franchise and XSP key accounts, implementing a consistent scorecard, monitoring sales\/service targets and providing training support where required
\nSME, Corporate and Government Markets
\n\u2022Provide expert insight into the regional SME\/Corporate\/Government markets and oversee the development of new business opportunities, including new accounts and new partners while ensuring alignment with the overall strategy to achieve sales targets
\n\u2022Identify product requirements based on regional market knowledge and collaborate with the Product team to implement products to satisfy market demands and grow sales.
\n\u2022Grow and establish the SME\/Corporate\/ Government segment function, growing the customer base execution of account management and tailored business solutions for the segment to achieve targets
\nCost & Budget Management
\n\u2022Prepare, control and administer the yearly budgets for the Operations department
\n\u2022Develop and implement policies to achieve savings
\n\u2022Manage cost tracking and variation reports
\n\u2022Approve expenditure for the department
\n\u2022Inform Executive timeously of potential over-spend
\n\u2022Make recommendations for budget-affecting change requests
\n\u2022Approve expenditure for the department
\nHealth and Safety
\n\u2022Strictly apply and adhere to Cell C Health and Safety procedures and rules
\n\u2022Manage conformance to Legislation and Cell C Health, Safety and Environmental standards
\n\u2022Manage, identify and minimize Cell C\u2019s exposure to operational risk
\n\u2022Monitor, investigate and report all health and safety matters and incidents
\n\u2022Ensure the appointment of the SHE representative, First-aiders, evacuation marshals and establishing \/ maintenance of SHE Committees as per legislation and Cell C requirements
\nStaff Management
\n\u2022Recruit employees; assign and direct work, oversee their development, identify training needs and maintain staff competence
\n\u2022Establish and evaluate Key Performance Indicators
\n\u2022Establish, evaluate and guide the department\u2019s Employee Performance Management programme
\n\u2022Provide an advisory, support and mentorship function
\n\u2022Initiate the appropriate Labour Relation action required within section
\n\u2022Uphold HR policies and procedures
\nPerform any other Related duties as requested by Management<\/p><\/div>\n

\n
Skills & Experience<\/h5>\n

10 years front line sales management experience, across all channels including key accounts, government \/ informal\/corporate \/ SME\/ franchise\/ and field marketing.
\n5 years senior sales management experience including the management of a large team
\n2 yrs experience in working in a vendor management environment
\nProven track record of achievement of sales and revenue targets
\n5 years Mobile telecommunications experience<\/p><\/div>\n

Educational Requirements<\/h5>\n<\/div>\n
Degree or National Diploma in Commerce\/ Financial\/ Marketing \/Business Management
\nOr Recognition of Prior Learning of a minimum of 10 yrs relevant management experience of which at least 8 is at a Senior Manager level.<\/div>\n
