\nLocation:<\/strong> Nanyuki, Laikipia, Kenya

\nContract Type:<\/strong> Permanent\/Contract 12 Months
\nSalary:<\/strong> KSh 46,985.00 – 61,305.00 Monthly<\/p>\n
\nThe chef will work with kitchen team to produce food for the unit to a high standard on a daily basis for Batuk Nyati Barracks under direction of the
\nRegimental Catering Warrant Officer (RCWO)\/Head Chef.<\/p>\n
\na. To produce safe food of the required quality and quantity at the correct time. To
\nwork within existing Food Safety and Health and Safety at work guidelines.
\nb. Requisition of stock, materials, supplies or equipment for the following days of
\nproduction.
\nc. To maintain records and input temperature records on a daily basis.
\nd. Conduct all work in a safe clean hygienic manner.
\ne. Minimise wastage and report all wastage to line manager.<\/p>\n
\na. Ensure that all equipment used, is in safe working order, checked regularly and
\nserviced.
\nb. Report customer compliments and complaints immediately to the shift
\nSupervisor or Manager \/ RCWO where necessary.
\nc. To ensure that the kitchen fridges are kept clean and tidy stacked correctly with
\nfood items wrapped and date stamped.
\nd. Queries and issues relating to dishes, menus and suppliers are cascaded to the
\nRCWO\/ Head Chef.
\ne. To deploy on exercises and work away from base location when required
\nRequirements
\na. Essential:<\/strong>
\n(1) Certificate\/Diploma qualifications in Culinary Arts from a recognised
\ninstitution.
\n(2) Appropriate Food Hygiene Certificate.
\n(3) Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
\n(4) Must have a Valid Police Clearance Certificate.
\n(5) Good communication and interpersonal skills
\nb. Desirable:
\n(1) At least 2 years\u2019 experience in the same field<\/p>\n
