\n\u2022Marketing, including attendance at business-related networking and client functions. Ensuring repeat work from clients and developing a client base.
\n\u2022Preparing accurate and concise designs, design calculations, budgets, tender specification creation, performing project financial control, diligent construction monitoring and project management (electrical) throughout all stages of a project life cycle.
\n\u2022Collaborating and working with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers on a project while taking an active part in the design process and coordination.
\n\u2022Completing all types of projects from inception to close out with limited input from management and\/or other senior engineers.
\n\u2022Setting up client\/consultant fee\/contract agreements, calculating professional fees and the effective management of professional fees on all projects.
\n\u2022Managing internal office project finances regarding hourly forecasting, WIP and invoicing.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022Contributing to the identification of SHEQ risks and driving processes to achieve Zero Harm
\n\u2022Embracing, displaying and promoting the company values and ensuring a safe working environment is maintained at all times<\/p>\n
\n\u2022Must be a professionally registered engineer with ECSA, Pr. Eng or Pr. Tech. Eng.
\n\u2022at least 8-10 years consulting engineering experience within the Building Services sector, 5 of which should be post ECSA accreditation
\n\u2022SAQCC Registered for Design (preferably).<\/p>\n
\n\u2022Excellent client marketing characteristics and including external project professional team members.
\n\u2022Excellent communication skills (English) and including report writing abilities. Ability to have clear and accurate communication skills with internal and external professional teams and including clients via email, telecommunication and face-to-face meetings.
\n\u2022Thorough knowledge of SANS10142-1&2, SANS10139, SANS10400 and SANS204 among others.
\n\u2022Depth of experience of various building contracts applicable to the building services industry (i.e. JBCC, Fidic, NEC, etc.).
\n\u2022 Knowledge and experience with Autodesk BIM (Revit, Navisworks, Glue, Field, etc.) and CAD software.
\n\u2022Registered (similar or equal) as an Autodesk Certified Professional: MEP Electrical (advantageous).
\n\u2022Knowledge and experience with electrical software packages such as Relux and\/ or Dialux, CBi and\/ or Ecodial and\/or Amtech.
\n\u2022Higher than average Microsoft Office package (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.) skills.
\n\u2022Be able to work independently, take responsibility\/ownership for their designs with little input, and follow up from senior management\/engineers.
\n\u2022High-level quality to the attention to detail when performing design reviews, for sign-off, with internal working peers and BIM team.
\n\u2022Good with self and project time-management skills.
\n\u2022A good knowledge of the latest technologies within the building services industry (e.g. lighting, UPS etc.).
\n\u2022Self-motivated and ambitious. Ability to raise, suggest and drive to office\/ internal efficiencies.
\n\u2022Able to offer creative solutions to the client, architectural and\/or interior design requirements.
\n\u2022Able to interface professionally across all levels of the professional team and with the client, think on their feet and remain calm when faced with a challenge\/ confrontations. Have a pro-active attitude.
\n\u2022Ability to offer input with multiple engineering disciplines in project meetings.
\n\u2022Must be a team player and be able to work independently on challenging projects that may have tight timelines.
\n\u2022Drivers licence and own mode of transport to travel to sites.
\n\u2022Willingness to travel within RSA and Africa \u2013 valid RSA Passport.<\/p>\n
