Job Title: Principal Consultant: Air Quality<\/strong> Job Summary:<\/strong><\/p>\n The role will be a Principal Consultant within the air quality team based in Johannesburg, although working on projects nationally.<\/p>\n KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022Prepare for and undertake fieldwork, inclusive of dust fallout, meteorological and particulate monitoring, passive sampling, active sampling and acoustic monitoring HEALTH AND SAFETY:<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022Role model standards for SHEQ performance and behaviour consistent with the company\u2019s health, safety, environmental and quality vision and policies by influencing those around you Requirements: <\/strong><\/p>\n QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022Minimum 8 years\u2019 experience in air quality consulting KEY COMPETENCIES AND GENERIC SKILLS:<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022Experience in ambient monitoring (dust fallout, particulate, meteorological, passive sampling and acoustic monitoring)

\n\u2022Process and format ambient monitoring data, inclusive of meteorological, dust fallout and particulate matter
\n\u2022Compile ambient air quality monitoring reports
\n\u2022Compile acoustic monitoring reports
\n\u2022Management and planning of fieldwork, including the completion of all health & safety requirements, both with regards to WSP and client requirements
\n\u2022Emission inventory compilations and dispersion modelling (AERMOD, CALPUFF)
\n\u2022Compilation of Atmospheric Impact Reports, Air Quality Impact Assessments and Air Quality Management Plans
\n\u2022Project management, including financial, health & safety and project team management
\n\u2022Business Development and Client Relationship Management
\n\u2022 Providing assistance to the broader WSP E&E business<\/p>\n
\n\u2022Contributing to the identification of SHEQ risks and driving processes to achieve Zero Harm
\n\u2022Embracing, displaying and promoting the company values and ensuring a safe working environment is maintained at all times.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022Minimum BSc Honours \/ Masters
\n\u2022Experience in ambient air quality monitoring
\n\u2022Strong project management and team mentorship skills
\n\u2022Proposal writing
\n\u2022Business development experience
\n\u2022Experience in dispersion modelling, including emission inventories, beneficial<\/p>\n
\n\u2022Experience in emission inventories and dispersion modelling (CALPUFF, AERMOD) Experience in Geographic Information Systems beneficial
\n\u2022Knowledge of the South African environmental\/air quality legislation
\n\u2022Technical report writing skills including the ability to produce professional reports in fluent English
\n\u2022Technical skills to manage, verify and analyze monitoring data
\n\u2022Strong project management skills to ensure projects are managed efficiently
\n\u2022Proposal writing
\n\u2022Business development experience<\/p>\n
