\nKey Performance Areas:
\n\u2022Liaise with the public and other stakeholders when receiving complaints or enquiries;
\n\u2022Investigate complaints and enquires within the required departmental turnaround times;
\n\u2022Monitor compliance with legislation to ensure the protection and fair treatment of policyholders;
\n\u2022Participate in on-site inspections to insurers to establish compliance with insurance legislation; best practice and market conduct related issues;
\n\u2022Manage relationships with insurers assigned in the portfolio;
\n\u2022Perform administrative and other activities relating to the regulatory framework as may be required; and
\n\u2022Assist the department with projects that the department is working on.<\/p>\n
\nThe candidate must demonstrate the following skills and attributes: A high level of judgement and a confident and decisive approach; problem analysis, information gathering, communication skills, good interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence, customer relations and persuasiveness skills and must be computer literate.<\/p>\n

\nA B. Com or law degree with at least 5 years relevant work experience in the insurance industry. Sound knowledge and understanding of the Insurance Acts and the insurance industry related operational requirements are essential.<\/p>\n
