South African Guide-Dogs Association is searching for an experienced Head of Fundraising with excellent leadership skills and networking abilities. The Head of Fundraising will be responsible for building good relationships with prospective donors and clients across multiple sectors, communicating with the broader public and internal teams and drawing up plans to ensure annual targets are met. Job Title: Head of Fundraising<\/strong> Job Summary:<\/strong><\/p>\n The Head of Fundraising must have substantial fundraising and management experience particularly at a c-suite level, a talent for building relationships and a proven track record in securing funds from a variety of sources including corporates, foundations, trusts and major individual donors. Experience in development of an individual donor programmes including donor marketing is also an advantage.<\/p>\n Key responsibilities and duties:<\/strong><\/p>\n Strategy and planning Bachelor\u2019s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field

\nLead the development of a long-term fundraising strategy to achieve agreed long term organisational goals
\nPartner with the Head of Marketing in developing the annual fundraising planning process to produce effective strategies to achieve income targets across the range of revenue streams
\nIdentify new potential income streams and produce strategies to access these funds
\nFundraising

\nConducting research on who is out there and potential fundraising opportunities
\nWriting customised funding proposals and submitting these to potential donors, including writing case studies to support proposal requests
\nExplore all fundraising channels and streams for new donor acquisition
\nEstablish and implement tracking procedures for each fundraising programme\/channel to ensure that fundraising targets are met
\nOversee the management of fundraising income and ensure production of effective, high quality proposals and reports
\nRelationship Management
\nEstablish positive relationships with clients in every sector, including government representatives and members of the media
\nBuild a CRM donor database for a corporates, legacies and trusts and update individual donor information as needed.
\nDevelop and maintain an effective CRM programme for the development of relationships, ongoing communication and retention
\nMarketing and PR
\nPartner with the marketing team to develop high-impact and innovative donor acquisition campaigns and recruitment drives
\nProvide opportunities and recommend innovative use of digital \/ new media activities (SMS, MMS, WAP, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, etc) for donor acquisition
\nEvaluate the effectiveness of specific events and fundraising campaigns to determine which ones work well and which ones should be abandoned
\nPrepare press releases to submit to the local newspaper and ensure the release always goes up on the company website and social media accounts
\nPursue efforts to keep GDA\u2019s public image positive, which can entail promoting events regularly
\nOrganizing and attending non-profit events and networking with relevant stakeholders
\nFinancial Planning and Budget Management
\nProduce cost-effective budgets to achieve action plans
\nDevelop and maintain income and expenditure tracking and evaluation systems
\nEnsure the Fundraising Department is kept within budget
\nThe Head of Fundraising must possess the following requirements:<\/p>\n
\nEvidence of Continued Professional Development relevant to the role purpose and level.
\nAt least 8 years\u2019 experience in a similar role
\nDemonstrable track record of Strategic Fundraising that has directly resulted in increased income for an organisation
\nSuccessful, significant and relevant achievement at management level in a comparable NPO\/national\/international organisation
\nProven track record of meeting challenging income targets
\nProven ability to build, manage and develop key stakeholder and donor relationships.
\nExperience of developing and implementing strategic and business plans
\nDemonstrated experience in data analytics
\nWorking knowledge of CRM software will be an added advantage
