The Inclusive Economic Development (IED) division undertakes research that aims to transform educational outcomes and increase economic participation. It recognises that education and the economy have long been linked, and thus conducts research in both areas, sometimes discretely, often overlapping, and through a multidisciplinary lens. We research ways to improve the context of learning for those who have had unequal starting points as well the social, spatial and structural obstacles to economic participation to bring about the gains and growth South Africa needs.<\/p>\n

\nIED is looking to appoint 1 Project Administrator at the level of Admin Clerk for a period of 3 years to be based in Pretoria.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022Oversee the smooth and efficient administrative operations of projects;
\n\u2022Ability to assist with the drafting of project budgets.
\n\u2022Monitor project expenditure, milestones, and deliverables.
\n\u2022Coordinate project contracts. Prepare and monitor claims, payments, correspondence and report on such;
\n\u2022Handle all project procurement and inventory control
\n\u2022Monitor quality assurance and compliance
\n\u2022Manage travelling logistics;
\n\u2022Liaise with Support Services, and respond to queries;
\n\u2022Establish and manage project filing systems,
\n\u2022Ensure that infrastructure, equipment and services are available to ensure a high level of effectiveness and efficiency;
\n\u2022Organise meetings, workshops and conferences; Minute taking;
\n\u2022Assist with any other project administrative related activities that may arise<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 At least 3 year relevant project administration experience
\n\u2022 A sound understanding of Microsoft Office, email and Internet
\n\u2022Above average administrative and financial skills suited for a multidisciplinary research environment;
\n\u2022Competence in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
\n\u2022Above average written and verbal communication in English
\n\u2022Able to get on well with other people
\n\u2022A capacity to work in a busy and sometimes stressful environment and be willing to
\nwork after hours when and if needed
\n\u2022Intellectual and personal integrity, a well developed work ethic, and drive;
