Etlin International (Pty) Ltd is a well-established importer within the wholesale trading industry and is in need of a Maintenance Technician in their Johannesburg Branch – Cold Store (City Deep). The main purpose of this position is to fill the complete maintenance function of the entire facility, this will include but not limited to the monitoring and reporting of the refrigeration systems, maintenance of the sub-ambient facilities, management, and control of assets; building upkeep to ensure a safe and compliant operational functionality of the site while remaining within budget.<\/p>\n

\nSalary:<\/strong> Market Related<\/p>\n

Job Summary:<\/strong>
\n1. Essential Skills:<\/strong>
\nComputer Literate (Outlook, Excel), working with computer maintenance management systems (CMMS), Programmable logic controller (PLC).
\nAble to work in Cold to subzero environments.
\nMaintaining of FMCG and logistic portfolio.
\nAble to keep composure under pressure and emergencies.
\nReporting on incidents and activities.
\nMaintaining Ammonia refrigeration system components.<\/p>\n

2. Essential Knowledge:<\/strong>
\nOperational infrastructure maintenance: Mobile Racking, Loading Docks, and temperature seal doors and walling.
\nExtensive knowledge and experience with (MHE) Material handling equipment
\nExtensive knowledge of Ammonia refrigeration system
\nExtensive electrical three-phase and single-phase knowledge
\nGeneral Building Maintenance: Plumbing, Painting, and Plastering.
\nExtensive knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety rules, requirements, lockouts, Tagout, and risk assessments<\/p>\n

Requirements:<\/strong>
\n1. Qualifications and Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Minimum education (essential): N4 – Matric (NQF)
\nMinimum education (desirable): N5 \u2013 N6 (Electrical, Mechanical, Refrigeration), Red seal certified. Millwright<\/p>\n

Minimum applicable experience (years): 5 years with preferred qualification. 10 years without the preferred qualification.
\nPreferred nature of experience: +5 years with preferred qualification with red seal certification.<\/p>\n

2. Accreditations\/Registered bodies: Red seal certification (E\/Seta) and\/or CAT A valid accreditation:<\/strong><\/p>\n

3. Legal Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Valid Code B drivers license and Own transport
\nWorking at sub zero conditions (Requires medical clearance)
\nWorking at Heights
\nWorking in Confined spaces\/ hazardous areas
\nClean Criminal Record<\/p>\n
