\n\u2022Responsible for assisting the Board and its Committees to facilitate business and ensuring corporate compliance in terms of the Companies Act and relevant legislative requirements.<\/p>\n

\n\u2022Proactively research and advise on the impact of relevant legislation on the business and possible impact on the business
\n\u2022Review and recommend payments to relevant service providers
\n\u2022Maintain statutory registers and records

\n\u2022Ensuring all Meetings are recorded and minutes are approved and circulated as required<\/p>\n
\n\u2022Conduct contract negotiations with customers, vendors and other third parties
\n\u2022Apply for, protect and maintain the Intellectual Property and Trademark rights of the Group
\n\u2022Coordinate and advise on all legal matters
\n\u2022Identify and minimise legal risks throughout the Group in conjunction with the Risk Management Team that you will establish and maintain to ensure effective and appropriate verbal and written communication of any legal risk control framework policies and monitor compliance
\n\u2022Attend to\/ co-ordinate litigation and ombudsman complaints
\n\u2022Advise on legal debt collection processes, summons and litigation
\n\u2022Provide and advise the Board with updated information on Corporate Governance and legislative matters
\n\u2022Drafting of all legal contracts used by the company and updating of all contracts to ensure compliance with current and future legislation
\n\u2022Strategic thinking with defined end game in respect of all litigation, commercial contracts and company negotiations
\n\u2022Forward Planning and ensuring legal advisors perform workload essential for all activities
\n\u2022Identify and minimise legal risks throughout the Group.
\n\u2022Resolving legal disputes in conjunction with legal requirements<\/p>\n
\n\u2022Assist business with design of compliance management plans and implementation
\n\u2022Establishing and maintaining compliance registers, monthly reports and follow-ups on all matters falling withing the legal department
\n\u2022Monitor and report to executive management
\n\u2022Ensure company compliance with various Acts covering:
\n\u2022<\/strong>Protection of Personal Information
\n\u2022<\/strong>Personal Card Industry
\n\u2022<\/strong>Various SA and County Acts and Bylaws as determined applicable by the company risk registers
\n\u2022<\/strong>Ensure company compliance with all legal frameworks and various acts<\/p>\n
\nRequirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n
\n\u202212-15 years\u2019 post admission experience
\n\u20224-5 years company secretarial experience
\n\u2022Senior Corporate Management and Board experience
\n\u2022Experience managing a team of attorneys.<\/p>\n
