{"id":6420,"date":"2012-07-09T03:47:27","date_gmt":"2012-07-09T01:47:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=6420"},"modified":"2016-11-15T14:36:33","modified_gmt":"2016-11-15T12:36:33","slug":"etv-south-africa-jobs-production-assistant-to-technical-director-x-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/etv-south-africa-jobs-production-assistant-to-technical-director-x-2.html","title":{"rendered":"etv South Africa Jobs: Production Assistant to Technical Director x 2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Production Assistant to Technical Director x 2 (Johannesburg Newsroom)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Reporting to the Head: Technical Operations, News your key performance areas will include:<br \/>\n<\/strong>access running orders and scripts for distribution<br \/>\nassist the bulletin producer<br \/>\nclean of scripts<br \/>\ncollect and type up the details for titles, supers and credits\u00a0<!--more--><br \/>\ncorrect supers<br \/>\nperform count-downs in the studio<br \/>\nliaise with producers, journalists and editors<br \/>\nmanage timings and durations of stories and rundowns.<br \/>\nwork on the news desk<br \/>\nwork closely with the producer, director and production team<br \/>\ncoordinate and communicate production resources and facility arrangements in tandem with the production managers<br \/>\nattend and time production rehearsals<br \/>\nattend and coordinate planning meetings<br \/>\ncheck copyright and permission issues with Archives<br \/>\nensure continuity, both on location and in the studio<br \/>\nproduce timing schedules, shot lists and logs for post-production<br \/>\ncall shots<br \/>\nliaise with the camera and sound crew during studio recordings<br \/>\nbook artists and performers<br \/>\norganize the production and distribution of scripts<br \/>\nconduct research<br \/>\ncomplete all necessary paperwork in relation to the above tasks.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<br \/>\n<\/strong>working knowledge of program origination software e.g. Dalet<br \/>\nability to give and follow commands during the broadcast<br \/>\nan understanding of television production<br \/>\nan understanding of television language<br \/>\na good understanding of English<br \/>\ncomputer literacy to level of spreadsheets, word and emails.<br \/>\ngood communication skills<br \/>\nmust be able to work in live and pre-record environment<br \/>\nmust be able to work under pressure<br \/>\nproactive and organized<br \/>\nNote:<br \/>\nthe successful candidates will be required to work irregular and long hours, including weekends, public holidays and standby shifts.<\/p>\n<p>If you possess the criteria and qualifications as stated, please send your application together with a detailed CV to jobs@etv.co.za<\/p>\n<p><strong>Closing Date: 11 July 2012.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Only shortlisted applicants who meet the criteria will be contacted.
