You will be responsible for architecting and creating these applications, as well as collaborating closely with teams responsible for the other layers of our product suite. The apps you write will be used by tens of thousands of our customers daily.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Android Engineering Developer<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong> Gaborone, South East, Botswana<br \/>\n<strong>Reference #:<\/strong> Android Engineering Developer<br \/>\n<strong>Contract Type:<\/strong> Contract 5 Years<br \/>\n<strong>Salary:<\/strong> Market Related<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Summary:<\/strong><br \/>\nDemonstrates deep knowledge of the android platform &amp; Kotlin\/Java Knowledge of Kotlin Multiplatform is a plus Good knowledge of UI architecture patterns like MVVM, Clean architecture Good knowledge of Android Jetpack components, including android architecture components Work with UX\/UI Designers, Architects, and other Developers to implement full stack mobile solutions Work as part of an Agile Scrum team Good knowledge of the android Build to Publish Process including Gradle, etc. Leverage native APIs for deep integrations with Android platforms Write automated tests that ensure the product is of the highest quality Diagnose and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks Use iterative software development programming in line with the solution design to achieve customer journeys as outlined in the Digital Roadmap, ensuring continuous improvement with responsibility to write the unit &amp; integration tests<\/p>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><br \/>\n3+ years of experience building mobile applications<br \/>\nDemonstrated experience working with teams using agile methodologies<br \/>\nWorking knowledge of SCM with strong emphasis on Git and standard Git Flow<br \/>\nUnderstanding and previous experience with android testing frameworks<br \/>\nExperience with test automation development utilizing, Selenium, JUnit, Cucumber and Capybara<br \/>\nExperience consuming SOAP, REST APIs and utilizing JSON for web or mobile applications<br \/>\nKnowledge and experience with DevOps<br \/>\nDeep knowledge of the android platform &amp; Kotlin\/Java<br \/>\nGood knowledge of UI architecture patterns like MVVM, Clean architecture<br \/>\nClear understanding of software development best practices<br \/>\nKnowledge of Android Unit test and Android Integration Test<br \/>\nKnowledge of CI\/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, GitHub, Azure DevOps services<br \/>\nStrong understanding of lean and agile methods of software delivery and the principles and practices of BDD, ATDD and TDD<br \/>\nUnderstanding of Agile methodologies, Scrum, Kanban<\/p>\n<p><strong>To Apply:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/jb.skillsmapafrica.com\/Account\/Login?ReturnUrl=%2FCandidate%2FFullRegistration%3FJobKey%3De19c4b5637b24439806d485339d0b0a3%26isApplication%3D1&amp;ReturnUrlWithProfile=%2FJob%2FIndex%2F49858%3FAutoApply%3DTrue\"><strong>Click Here!<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:<\/strong> 07\/06\/2021<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Front End (Android) developer will create beautiful, performant mobile apps on Android that give our customers a first-class mobile experience.
