Job Title: <\/strong>SENIOR SUPERINTENDENT<\/strong> Manages the implementation and delivery of one large, or multiple smaller production\/project sites against safety, time, quality and cost standards and risks, and has a definite emphasis on practical, technical and commercial management. Responsible for all on-site activities, including organising work and making sure all key materials are delivered on time. The successful candidate should preferably have a remining background within a production or technical context.<\/p>\n Business\/Functional Management:<\/strong><\/p>\n Execute production responsibilities in line with organisational strategy, in order to achieve set goals.<\/p>\n Report to Operations Manager on operational and project performance.<\/p>\n Executing responsibilities to support sustainability of the broader business, as per operational\/project requirements.<\/p>\n Financial, Commercial & Contracts Management<\/p>\n Provide inputs to Operations Manager on site costs.<\/p>\n May be involved with finalisation of tenders and structuring the operationalisation thereof.<\/p>\n Implement financial, commercial and contracts management processes and procedures, as set by the organisation, and give inputs to contracts structuring.<\/p>\n Risk Management & Compliance, incl. ESG responsibility<\/p>\n Ensure the company’s policy on social responsibility is adhered to.<\/p>\n Be fully aware of the content and impact of new contracts i.e.<\/p>\n General Conditions of Contract, Special Conditions, Specifications, and Drawings; be aware of relevant legislation relating to the contract – as related to operational execution and governance.<\/p>\n Stakeholder Management (Internal\/External):<\/strong><\/p>\n Promote ongoing open communication with Client Resident Engineer,.<\/p>\n Mining Manager and other client managers to foster good relations between FAT and the Client, through appropriate forums and interfaces.<\/p>\n Manage interface with other client contractors and operations on site.<\/p>\n Operations & Project Management:<\/strong><\/p>\n Undertake the implementation of company procedures and projects objectives on a specific project(s) in their area of responsibility.<\/p>\n Responsible for project execution and risk management on one or multiple sites – within budget, scope, timelines, productivity and SHEQ standards.<\/p>\n Management Operating System & Reporting:<\/strong><\/p>\n Define, set up and implement appropriate management operating system, including forecasts, plans, targets, controls, measures, data management and trend analysis, reports and forums, for the site, to ensure effective management decision-making, performance management and corrective action.<\/p>\n Implement company policy and procedural requirements for recordkeeping, maintenance and monitoring of site records.<\/p>\n Technical Management:<\/strong><\/p>\n Implement relevant quality and technical standards as agreed for the site.<\/p>\n Understand and implement relevant internal and client policies relating to technical matters, for the site.<\/p>\n SHEQ Management:<\/strong><\/p>\n Oversee the implementation of the Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality plans and compliance and take corrective action as necessary to correct non-conformance.<\/p>\n Culture & Climate:<\/strong><\/p>\n Build a culture of continuous improvement for the duration of the operation\/project.<\/p>\n Align with client culture requirements as agreed with Management team, to enhance the client relationship.<\/p>\n Requirements:<\/strong> BSc Engineering or BTech Engineering (mining \/metallurgy \/industrial \/civil or similar).<\/p>\n Project Management qualification would be advantageous.<\/p>\n
