Etlin International (Pty) Ltd is a well-established importer within the wholesale trading industry and is in need of a Cold Store Supervisor to join their Cold Store Team in Johannesburg (City Deep) Branch. This position will be responsible To execute the cold store operations plan, supervise the cold store’s day-to-day operations, health & safety by investing in own personal development, living the Etlin values and supervising direct reports.<\/p>\n

\nContract Type:<\/strong> Permanent
\nSalary:<\/strong> Market Related<\/p>\n

\n– Execute the cold store operations plan
\n– Supervise the cold store day-to-day operations
\n– Supervise the health and safety of the cold store
\n– Supervise direct reports
\n– Invest in own personal development

2. Knowledge & Understanding (essential):<\/strong>
\nUnderstanding of the Health and Safety Act
\nBasic technical understanding of equipment (material handling)
\nKnowledge of hazardous materials spills such as oil, acid and product spills
\nUnderstanding of mobile racking operating functions
\nUnderstanding of basic maintenance
\nUnderstanding of Warehouse and Food Safety Management Systems
\nKnowledge of proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials in accordance with DAFF regulations
\nUnderstanding of cold chain process and procedure requirements
\nBasic technical understanding of equipment (material handling)<\/p>\n

\nMinimum education (essential): Matric
\nMinimum education (desirable): NQF level 5 Higher Certificate in the supply chain, and\/or distribution logistics and\/or commerce<\/p>\n

6. Experience:<\/strong>
\nMinimum applicable experience: 3-5 years experience in a Supervisor role or similar within the food and\/or cold storage industry.
\nPreferred nature of experience: + 5 years experience in a Supervisor role or similar within the food and\/or cold storage industry.<\/p>\n

7. Legal requirements and adverse working conditions:<\/strong>
\nRequired to work in low temperatures (sub-zero)
\nWorking long hours and weekends
\nWorking at very high heights.
\nRequired to handle a high volume of picking products
\nClear Criminal Record<\/p>\n
