\nThe position of Academic Administrator is responsible to support the team in meeting the deliverables by implementing and coordinating administrative and logistic responsibilities within one or more allocated programmes offered via distance and\/or contact education in a specific academic department.
\nThis position is currently for the department of Banking in the School of Investment and Banking. The Academic Administrator would be responsible for the various Banking qualifications and its associated deliverables. The person could be responsible for investment programs at some stage if operationally required.<\/p>\n
\nManaging Independent Contractors
\n\u2022Assist with recruitment and selection process (liaison; arrange interviews; reference checks; collate documentation)
\n\u2022Load all contractor information on the system
\n\u2022Update of all contractor documentation and manage related spreadsheets
\n\u2022Manage contracting process for all external academic staff on allocated programmes (drafting of LOAs on request, sending LOAs, ensuring that signed
\nLOAs and CVs are on file)
\n\u2022Manage the claims process for the department (check, capture, get sign-off, hand in)
\n\u2022Assist with contracting\/briefing of part-time academics
\n\u2022Organise logistics for training sessions with part-time academics
\n\u2022Arrange travel requirements for part-time and full-time staff<\/p>\n
\n\u2022Deal with student\/client\/facilitator queries and take full responsibility for resolving the queries
\n\u2022Ensure that student complaints\/concerns are channeled to the correct department and solved to the student\u2019s satisfaction
\n\u2022Conduct programme specific student surveys and focus groups, in coordination with the Tuition committee; evaluate and action items\/manage action of
\nitems (including requesting student support)
\n\u2022Build good relationships and liaise with internal departments, part-time academics and corporate clients of Milpark<\/p>\n
\n\u2022Manage and maintain the general framework of myMilpark for allocated qualification(s). Provide general student support on myMilpark.
\n\u2022Manage general student communication on the qualification.
\n\u2022Assist with the administration of the At Risk process
\n\u2022Request; gather and action the contractor feedback documentation
\n\u2022Extract; review and process the student evaluation feedback
\n\u2022Manage the tutor forum (check, respond, redirect, follow up) within agreed timelines
\n\u2022Co-ordinate the ordering and delivery of assessments\/support material from printers to logistics department
\n\u2022Planning and tracking of the assessment and programme-related processes
\n\u2022Arrange the marking sessions and liaise with the relevant contractors
\n\u2022Action and follow-up on configuration and assessment-related matters
\n\u2022Liaise with alumni or prospective students
\n\u2022Assist with audits and gathering of documentation
\n\u2022Assist with special projects as requested by the academic member<\/p>\n
\n\u2022Assist the team with general administrative matters
\n\u2022Keep minutes of meetings
\n\u2022Manage the filing and record keeping system in the department
\n\u2022Distribute relevant academic material\/communication to contractors\/facilitators.

\nEducation & Experience Requirements:<\/strong>
\n\u2022At least 3 years\u2019 experience in an educational environment
\n\u2022An NQF 6 or 7 business related qualification
\n\u2022Proficient in excel (intermediate \u2013 advance level)
\n\u2022Project coordinator and report writing skills<\/p>\n
