We are looking for a dynamic and self driven individual to take on the role on Chief Executive Officer for a large company in Mozambique, Maputo<\/p>\n

Job Title: Chief Executive Officer<\/strong> Job Summary:<\/strong> \u2022Direct and drive the turnaround strategies for The company businesses in a manner that will optimize achievement of the business goals and objectives, and result in increased shareholder value; \u2022Any other such duties as directed by the Board and HQ from time to time.<\/p>\n Requirements:<\/strong>

\nSalary:<\/strong> MZN 500,000.00 – 700,000.00 Monthly<\/p>\n
\n\u2022Act as an advisor to the company Boards, and provide critical advice on industry and market issues that are likely to impact the business and ensure efficient co-ordination and execution of the Boards\u2019 and MMA\u2019s turnaround mandate to Management;
\n\u2022Develop strategic and annual business plans and budgets for The company\u2019s businesses and present to the Board of Directors for approval;<\/p>\n
\n\u2022Provide leadership in the development and implementation of specific strategic thrusts to enhance profitability and shareholder value;
\n\u2022Provide strategic direction on a daily basis in terms of the execution of the approved turnaround strategies to deliver shareholder value on the back of profitable growth;
\n\u2022Act as Company representative at all relevant stakeholder forums and in all matters legal and economic;
\n\u2022Ensure that the organizational structure, management team and staff are aligned to implement the strategies and business plan;
\n\u2022Optimise the physical infrastructure and systems for the business to operate functionally and cost effectively;
\n\u2022Be accountable for the management and performance of The company;
\n\u2022Develop and introduce profitable and competitive products and related services into the target markets through the various distribution and service channels;
\n\u2022Formulate and implement corporate policies (adhering to good corporate governance), operational procedures and financial controls;
\n\u2022Manage the day-to \u2013day activities of the business to meet financial \/ profitability and related objectives;
\n\u2022Adhere to statutory reporting and other regulatory requirements;
\n\u2022Marketing of the business among the community, media and key stakeholders in the government and private sector leveraging of the Momentum brand in accordance with the brand plan;
\n\u2022Keep the Board and the company appraised and informed of all-important matters pertaining to the effective operation of the company business;
\n\u2022Growing the business in a sustainable way to maximise shareholder value;<\/p>\n
\n\u2022An appropriate business post graduate tertiary qualification (e.g. B.Comm and\/ or MBA); –
\n\u2022At least 10 years of directly related executive management experience;
\n\u2022Must have a solid, in depth understanding of the business environment, processes, legislative and industry requirements;
\n\u2022The successful candidate must be a Mozambican;
\n\u2022The candidate appointed in this position must be independent and not have any direct shareholding in any shareholder interests in the company or subsidiary companies or must relinquish such shareholding;
\n\u2022The successful candidate must qualify to be appointed to the Board of The company;
\n\u2022The candidate must meet all regulatory requirements.<\/p>\n
