The HSRC seeks to appoint a Senior IT Network Engineer on a 5 year contract, to be based at the Pretoria office.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022Actively Manage, Monitor, Diagnose and report on Network and Switch \/Router Systems.
\n\u2022Following up on all Data Centre environmental problems and situations and resolve.
\n\u2022Respond to client issues logged at a call centre and address queries.
\n\u2022Act as a point of contact for Data Centre related support issues.
\n\u2022Track and log all Data Centre issues and report progress and resolution.
\n\u2022Schedule and monitor maintenance procedures and processes on related systems in the data centre.
\n\u2022Constantly engage and work with other team members to maintain uptimes of the data centre.
\n\u2022Perform and develop a preventative maintenance programme for local and remote sites.
\n\u2022Perform and record routine maintenance procedures of data centre systems.
\n\u2022Perform on-going Data Centre space and capacity management of all hardware systems
\n\u2022Co-develop Disaster Recovery Plans, Procedures, Tests and Practices.
\n\u2022Develop a long term strategic plan for the Data Centre systems and services.
\n\u2022Provide hardware and software technical support to other HSRC offices and technicians.
\n\u2022Perform all Data centre server systems updates and patches required to stay compliant.
\n\u2022Manage all Data Centre related external Vendor Support services.

\n\u2022Monitor and record all backup reports on a daily basis and respond to deviations.
\n\u2022Monitoring and Maintenance of the TENET SANREN network services to the HSRC.
