The Technology Innovation Agency (TIA), an initiative of the Department of Science and Innovation, has a mandate to enable and support technology innovations across all sectors of the economy in order to achieve socio-economic benefits for South-Africa and to enhance its global competitiveness.

\nTo ensure that the Internal Audit Business Unit’s administrative coordination is effectively carried out to enable effective project management processes, smooth budgeting processes, timeous transfer of information through the correct channels and continued support service to internal and external stakeholders.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022Assists with the communication of the approved Audit Plan
\n\u2022Assists with the collation of information during audits
\n\u2022Complies with all TIA systems (BarnOwl audit management system, Performance management, HR, Finance, Stakeholder Information)
\n\u2022Coordinates and schedule meetings with new applicants and portfolio\/programme managers
\n\u2022Accompanies portfolio\/programme managers to on-site meetings to assist with minute taking and filing.
\n\u2022Captures all training and development information and compile MIS report
\n\u2022Liaises with the legal and finance department to ensure contracts are complete and are properly filed
\n\u2022Updates audit dashboards with the statement of progress during the project review phase
\n\u2022Assists with ensuring effective business processes are in place to coordinate activities in unit
\n\u2022Records all Business Unit\u2019s portfolio\/programme information on the relevant systems.
\n\u2022Prepares ExCo \/ ARC packs for submission as well as preparing the completed pack for the Head
\n\u2022Consolidates and update the Audit Findings Register (including analytics). Responsible for distributing the findings register to the CEO on a monthly basis.
\n\u2022Prepares draft monthly operational report and quarterly progress reports.
\n\u2022Assists Audit Managers with audit procedures (planning, fieldwork and report drafting phases)
\n\u2022Proofreads and provide into the details of all audit reports, audit memos, working papers, etc.
\n\u2022Analyses and prepare statistical data relating to audit results, survey results, et
\n\u2022Manages the diary of the Head: Internal Audit
\n\u2022Schedules team meetings, audit related meetings and minute taking of all meetings.
\n\u2022Loads all requisitions on the financial systems in line with procurement guidelines and monitor progress
\n\u2022Records all the invoices for the unit on the financial system and ensure they are all settled within agreed time frames
\n\u2022Ensures that the project\/portfolio budgets and expenditure are effectively updated and monitored, so that all people in the unit have updated information with regards to the budget
\n\u2022Captures, track, monitor and report on Unit\u2019s operational budget and provide feedback to the Head regarding discrepancies, areas of concern.
