Job Title: Data Analyst<\/strong>

Job Summary:<\/strong>
\nThe Data Analyst will ensure that data across all platforms in the firm is collected, maintained, processed, analysed and reported as required. The data analyst will support the firm\u2019s data quality drive by identifying data gaps and establishing procedures and implementing data systems to monitor and optimise data quality.<\/p>\n

Main Duties and Responsibilities:<\/strong>
\n\u2022Collaborate with team members to acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and to keep data up to date as part of the end to end data quality drive
\n\u2022Review and define new data collection techniques as required
\n\u2022Identify, analyse and interpret trends or patterns in data sets
\n\u2022Identify and address data gaps for new as well as historical data across the different platforms
\n\u2022Set up procedures and develop and\/or maintain databases\/data systems to monitor and optimise data quality and consistency within the firm
\n\u2022Use graphs, infographics and other methods to provide insights to stakeholders
\n\u2022Structure large data sets to find usable information
\n\u2022Create reports for internal teams and\/or external clients and stakeholders
\n\u2022Create presentations and reports to enable decision making
\n\u2022Handle confidential information responsibly
\n\u2022Keep abreast with best practices.
\n\u2022Respond to queries regarding data within the organisation
\n\u2022Work with the data privacy champion and data governance team to establish guidelines and protocols that govern data protection
\n\u2022With knowledge transfer from the Risk \/ Compliance department ensure data adheres to changing Regulatory requirements.
\n\u2022Develop a Data Dictionary and Regulatory definitions documents to be used across business.
\n\u2022Work with executives and other business leaders to identify opportunities for improvement<\/p>\n

Requirements:<\/strong>
\nQualifications, Experience and Knowledge:<\/strong>
\n\u2022Relevant degree in Information Science, Computer Science or Commerce
\n\u20222-4 years in a similar role (e.g. master data management)
\n\u2022Solid understanding of Data Structures, Types, Relationships, and system Data relationships.
\n\u2022Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy<\/p>\n

Technical Competencies:<\/strong>
\n\u2022Advanced Excel skills
\n\u2022Excellent understanding of data analytics
\n\u2022SQL query capability or MS Query and strong relation DB understanding
\n\u2022Reporting skills like Power BI, SSRS or Business Objects
\n\u2022Exposure to Microsoft R (advantage).<\/p>\n
