\nBe a custodian of the brand. Create, execute and monitor brand strategies that
\ndeliver on brand requirements. Report, monitor and analyse marketing and
\nbrand activities and maintain a keen interest in the growth and profitability of the
\noverall business.<\/p>\n
\nDeliver specified outcomes and provide others with expert advice while working
\nwithin established marketing programs.
\nCreate brand prominence through co-ordinated activities and communication.
\nDeliver against business metrics through multiple activities and touchpoints.<\/p>\n
\nManage brand(s) and coordinate brand support activities, using brand tracking
\nand\/or performance analysis to inform future brand activities.
\nDevelop and implement an integrated brand strategy to yield optimal business
\nresults.<\/p>\n
\nAssist in achieving brand positioning and lead on contributing ideas to brand
\nplans.<\/p>\n
\nDevelop and deliver marketing communications campaigns across all media to
\nsupport the business plan and increase sales.
\nEffectively utilise all channels, in an integrated and co-ordinated manner to
\ndeliver on brand strategy.
\nIdentify suitable brand opportunities and execute accordingly.<\/p>\n
\nCollate and analyze data using pre-set tools, methods and formats. Involves
\nworking independently.<\/p>\n
\nDeliver small project workstreams, carrying out specified project activities within
\ndefined time and quality parameters and ensuring adherence to the prescribed
\nproject management methodology.<\/p>\n
\nContribute to stakeholder engagement through identifying stakeholders, finding
\nout their needs\/issues\/concern and reacting to these by arranging meetings and
\nevents and drafting supporting materials to promote understanding and
\ncommitment.
\nAgency management: Manage day-to-day agency operations in order to achieve
\noptimal return from agency resources.
\nInternal and external supplier management: Co-ordinate and collaborate with all
\nrelevant stakeholders to ensure delivery of brand strategy through the entire
\nvalue chain.<\/p>\n
\nSupport the collection of data and participate in reviews of marketing activities to
\nidentify opportunities for improvements.<\/p>\n
\nDevelop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development
\nplanning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or
\nmaintain external professional accreditation where relevant to improve
\nperformance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant
\ntechnology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing
\neducation, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.<\/p>\n
\nDevelop knowledge and understanding of the organization’s policies and
\nprocedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct to ensure
\nown work adheres to those standards. Obtain authorization from a supervisor or
\nmanager for any exceptions from mandatory procedure.
\nEnsure strict brand governance on all internal and external communications and
\napplication of brand CI.<\/p>\n
\nGeneral Education:<\/strong>
\nGrade 12\/ SAQA Accredited Equivalent (Essential); Undergraduate Degree in
\nMarketing\/Advertising \/ Communications Qualification or equivalent (Essential);
\nPostgraduate Marketing\/Advertising\/Communications qualification
\n(Advantageous)<\/p>\n
\n3 – 5 years’ Brand Management experience (Essential); Agency experience
\n(Essential); Traditional and Digital Media experience in both buying, planning
\nand strategy (Advantageous)<\/p>\n
\n1 – 2 years’ experience of supervising and directing people and other resources
\nto achieve specific end results within limited time-frames (Advantageous)<\/p>\n
