\nThe eResearch Knowledge Centre (eRKC) within the HSRC employs a group of practitioners and specialists in the areas of information services, geospatial analytics, and digital curation who provide knowledge services to enhance the HSRC\u2019s research capability.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022Supporting digital scholarship and providing support for organisation wide processes and requirements,
\n\u2022Supporting geospatial analytics in the HSRC, and

\nThis position requires in-depth knowledge and experience in the area of research data management, especially in terms of quantitative data. A specific skill set that combines high technical \/ technology proficiency, knowledge of research methodology, scholarship support, and experience with the management of quantitative research data is required. The requirements are the following:
\n\u2022Degree \/ or equivalent qualification in the social or information sciences or a data intensive discipline;
\n\u2022At least 5 years\u2019 experience in a quantitative data management context.
\n\u2022Working knowledge of statistical software, such as SPSS, Stata and SAS, including data processing using syntax and high proficiency in MS Office.
\n\u2022Knowledge of research methodology and research data (quantitative and \/ or qualitative) in the Social Sciences;
\n\u2022Knowledge of metadata and archiving practices;
\n\u2022Problem-solving skills and the ability to search for and implement innovative solutions;
\n\u2022Good interpersonal skills and a strong service orientation which will contribute to cooperative and effective interaction with colleagues;
\n\u2022Good planning, organising, and presentation skills;
\n\u2022Proficiency in speaking and writing English.
\n\u2022Willingness to work under pressure, according to plan to meet deadlines.<\/p>\n
