They will also be involved in testing the cloud based infrastructure, ensuring that they meet the security standards for any cloud solution<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Cloud Engineer<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong> Gaborone, South East, Botswana<br \/>\n<strong>Reference #:<\/strong> Cloud Engineer<br \/>\n<strong>Contract Type:<\/strong> Contract 5 Years<br \/>\n<strong>Salary:<\/strong> Market Related<br \/>\n<strong>Duration:<\/strong> 5 Years<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Summary:<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><br \/>\nResponsible for designing and implementing cloud network (AWS)<br \/>\nEnsures that all hardware and software are up to date to support the cloud (AWS)<br \/>\nDevelops cloud strategy and coordinate the adaptation process<br \/>\nWorks closely with IT security to monitor privacy and develop incident-response procedures<br \/>\nFormulates strategies and roadmaps of infrastructure technology based on analysis of current state, target state and latest industry opportunities<br \/>\nDrives infrastructure setup to follow industry standards and embrace opportunities offered by emerging technologies<br \/>\nLeads cloud architecture design in the DevOps team to implement best-in-class PaaS delivery in the most secured, cost optimized and highly operational manner<br \/>\nProposes enhancements and accelerators by focusing on innovation and continuous improvement initiatives<br \/>\nIs an avid proponent of DevOps best practice for both cloud and on-premise implementations<br \/>\nInteracts with the Information Security and Software Development teams to design a secured operating environment and data flow<\/p>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><br \/>\nAt least 5 years of experience in the IT industry, of which at least 3 years is in cloud platforms. Hands-on experience is a must<br \/>\nKnowledge of and experience with any of public cloud providers Oracle, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure or Google (GCP) architecture, tools and cloud methodologies.
