\nThe Head of PMO is responsible to drive the creation, implementation, and management of project management methodologies, principals and frameworks for the organisation. Responsible for the overall leadership and effective performance of the Project Management Office with accountability to deliver consistent, high quality projects, programs and manage the PMO portfolio, including the Program and Project Managers. Ensure the effective management of the Project Program Managers to ensure delivery of projects end to end, including the technical elements of the project (if appropriate to the project) within the requisite timelines, budget, cost and quality.<\/p>\n
\nRESPONSIBILITIES:<\/strong>
\nPMO Framework Design:<\/strong>
\nLead the development of project and program management methodologies, principles, frameworks and tools to ensure that these meet the needs of key internal and external stakeholders.
\nEstablish professional standards for business process and project management – using industry innovations, best practices, standards, methodologies, and key performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
\nCreate organizational credibility with respect to all project management deliverables and process efficiencies by instilling the culture of execution, operational excellence, and accountability for outcomes.
\nAbility to manage Agile and Waterfall projects and hybrid’s thereof.<\/p>\n
\nEstablish and facilitate effective project management governance, oversight and prioritization.
\nApply risk management assessment in project planning \/ ongoing execution and resolves issues and conflicts associated with management of multiple complex high-priority projects.
\nEnsure that roles and responsibilities are clearly defined within the project delivery and program management office teams, and ensure program and project compliance with the organization’s wider governance structures and processes.<\/p>\n
\nPrepare and deliver regular, effective communications to ensure that leadership and project sponsors are adequately apprised of project statuses, successes, risks and issues, including ensuring projects are budgeted for, monitored and reported through the Project Managers.
\nSpecify and lead the delivery of the project review process to ensure that stakeholders are able to evaluate progress and agree on change at appropriate points.
\nProvide weekly PMO Reports, Scorecards, and Dashboards to the Chief Executive Officer and relevant stakeholders.<\/p>\n
\nLeads and directs project management staff and works with department leaders to define, prioritize, and develop projects and programs.
\nLead, direct and be accountable for the overall performance of the PMO team in the delivery of the portfolio.
\nDevelop and manage comprehensive project portfolio, budgets, resource allocations, and costs with overall accountability for portfolio performance.
\nLead project management team, establish performance expectations and standards, serve as a role-model and provide leadership direction to PMs throughout project life-cycle.<\/p>\n
\nThrough effective inspirational leadership, facilitate the creation of accountable, full service teams who understand and strive to meet the needs of all stakeholders.
