\nOperational Compliance:<\/strong>
\nMonitor and review performance and behaviors within area of responsibility to
\nidentify and resolve non-compliance with the organization’s policies and relevant
\nregulatory codes and codes of conduct.<\/p>\n
\nDevelop and\/or deliver a plan for significant aspects of the financial
\nmanagement and\/or control process.
\nMonitor the collection of funds due to TIH from each debtor in each company\u2019s
\nage analysis.
\nMonitor and oversee the control over the processing of cash book transactions
\nfor each current and call accounts.
\nReview inter-company balances and ensure that companies balance and that
\nthe non-balancing entries are processed in time to meet any applicable
\ndeadlines.
\nProvide Accountants with monthly Accruals, in instances where invoices were
\nsubmitted later than the period processing closing date.
\nOversee the control and monitoring of all banks\u2019 weekly and monthly
\nreconciliations to bank statements.<\/p>\n
\nCreate a plan to deliver and review financial policies, guidelines, and protocols
\nto ensure the company complies with regulations and good financial practice.<\/p>\n
\nCommunicate the actions needed to implement the function’s strategy and
\nbusiness plan within the team; explain the relationship to the broader
\norganization’s mission, vision and values; motivate people to commit to these
\nand to doing extraordinary things to achieve local business goals.<\/p>\n
\nDevelop and propose own performance objectives; take appropriate actions to
\nensure achievement of agreed objectives, using the organization’s performance
\nmanagement systems to improve personal performance. Manage and report on
\nteam performance; set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports or
\nproject \/ account team members and hold them accountable for achieving these,
\ntaking appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement
\nof team \/ personal objectives.<\/p>\n
\nManage key aspects of the data management system with guidance from senior
\ncolleagues. This includes being responsible for developing or operating key
\nelements of the system.
\nEnsure effective supplier management.
\nEnsure monitoring and controlling of supplier invoice, cash book and payments
\noff the ERP system (Sage X3)
\nReview adhoc updates of supplier VAT, Bank and Registration numbers.<\/p>\n
\nConduct research using primary data sources and select information needed for
\nthe analysis of key themes and trends.<\/p>\n
\nUse the organization’s formal development framework to identify the team’s
\nindividual development needs. Plan and implement actions to build their
\ncapabilities. Provide training or coaching to others throughout the organization in
\nown area of expertise to enable others to improve performance and fulfill
\npersonal potential.<\/p>\n
\nPrepare and coordinate the completion of various data and analytics reports.<\/p>\n
\nGrade 12\/ SAQA Accredited Equivalent (Essential);
\nDegree\/Diploma – Accounting or Financial Management (Essential) Completed
\nArticles (Advantageous)<\/p>\n
\n3 or more years experience in trial balance and processing (Essential);
\nExperience in Financial Services Industry (Advantageous)<\/p>\n
\n3 or more years managerial experience (Essential<\/p>\n
