Job Title: Unit Leader – NRC Queenstown<\/strong> Job Summary:<\/strong> KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:<\/strong> Requirements:<\/strong>

\n<\/strong>Salary:<\/strong> R 7.00 – 7.00 Monthly<\/p>\n
\nThe Unit Leader will be responsible for coordinating improved quality nursing care by
\nensuring compliance to professional and ethical practice. The incumbent will also be
\nresponsible for monitoring and ensuring that nursing care and service delivery is
\nimplemented and practiced within a multi-disciplinary quality assurance team. In
\naccordance the incumbent will be accountable for coordinating capacity building,
\nmentoring and training.<\/p>\n
\nEnsure growth of the business through marketing, communication and education of
\nstakeholders on an on – going basis.
\nEnsure that all financial policies and procedures are adhered to in the unit i.e. patient and
\nunit administration, CAPEX, equipment, budget planning, stock, waste, etc.
\nEnsure effective staff care by compliance to HR and payroll policies and procedures in
\nmanaging staff, staffing and related issues daily in the business.
\nEnsure and create a safe and conducive dialysis environment for NRC to render optimal
\ndialysis daily.
\nEnsure adherence to clinical policies and procedures and ensure that NRC\u2019s quality
\ninitiatives are utilised for all patients under your management.
\nEnsure efficient customer service by maintaining proactive and effective stakeholder and
\ninterdepartmental relationships and communication in order to maintain optimal standards
\nof service delivery.
\nEnsure on – going education, training and development of yourself and unit staff in order
\nto provide the best dialysis service.
\nEnsure optimal patient care in line with NRC\u2019s policies & procedures, best care practices
\nand quality initiatives.
\nDemonstrate the National Renal Care Values and Caring the NRC Way in all my
\nbehaviour.<\/p>\n
\nREQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE:<\/strong>
\nRegistration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse\/ Midwife or
\nRegistration with HPCSA as a Clinical Technologist (Independent Practice)
\nRelevant qualification with a minimum of 5 Years post basic and proven leadership and\/or
\npeople management experience within healthcare (including clinical competence in renal)
\nBasic understand of labour legislation, financial and change management principles
\nCapacity to implement and maintain standards of health practice required from all
\naccredited bodies and appropriate health legislation.
\nComputer Proficiency (MS Office) essential.
\nDriver\u2019s license and own transport a must.
