We welcome your application if you believe you meet the requirements for this position.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Project Engineer (Mechanical)<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong> Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa<br \/>\n<strong>Reference #:<\/strong> #HCM2<br \/>\n<strong>Contract Type:<\/strong> Contract<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Summary:<\/strong><br \/>\nThe successful candidate will be responsible for the following:<br \/>\nResponsible for the health, safety and environmental design aspects of the work packages under his\/her control.<br \/>\nResponsible for the development of all technical design information required for inclusion into a RFP\/RFQ procurement process for the fabrication and delivery to site of specific work package free-issue equipment or for the required construction services required for specific construction work packages as assigned.<br \/>\nThe provision of all necessary technical support for assigned work packages in support of the package manager and\/or construction manager to deliver such work packages within the expected time, quality and budget requirements.<br \/>\nIdentify and mitigate all technical risks associated with assigned work packages and ensure compliance to all standards and procedures.<br \/>\nResponsible for maintaining cordial client relationships.<br \/>\nAssist in managing the technical requirements of the assigned work package. Contracts manages in support of the project procurement manager, pack manager and project manager.<\/p>\n<p><strong>AREAS OF FOCUS:<\/strong><br \/>\nSafety \u2013 to ensure the maximum amount of injury free man hours, and compliance with the projects health, safety and environmental systems and standards.<br \/>\nQuality \u2013 to ensure that the technical aspects of the GIBB and\/or project specific quality management system is implemented and maintained.<br \/>\nProject integration \u2013 to integrate the activities of the different discipline engineers , designers, specialists, contractors and other project members ensuring that all the work performed is in line with the scope of the assigned work packages and that the desired outcome is achieved.<br \/>\nScope management \u2013 to ensure that only approved work as per work package contract is being performed.<br \/>\nTime management \u2013 control of activities within his \/ her sphere of influence in ensuring compliance to the project schedule.<br \/>\nHCM management \u2013 includes the management of staff under his control, motivation of the team, training \/ development, and conflict resolution.<br \/>\nCost management \u2013 to apply controls to ensure adherence to the baseline budget for the assigned work packages.<br \/>\nCommunication \u2013 the distribution of the required information to the stakeholders. This information needs to be communicated timeously to ensure stakeholders are informed of progress and issues that can affect the outcome of the assigned work packages, both positive and negative.<br \/>\nRisk management \u2013 ensuring that the assigned work package risks are identified and quantified timeously for an appropriate mitigation response to be developed.
