The Technical Supporter will be responsible for the assembly and production of electronic components from various suites of products. They will also be responsible for the quality assurance of the various electronic components and assuring the correct functioning of the products when assembly is completed. Furthermore, they will also be required to provide frontline support to client queries as they pertain to the use of RFID Experts Africa hardware and software products when obstacles are encountered.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Technical Supporter: RFID28 (Port Elizabeth)<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong> Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape, South Africa<br \/>\n<strong>Reference #:<\/strong> RFID28<br \/>\n<strong>Contract Type:<\/strong> Permanent<br \/>\n<strong>Salary:<\/strong> Market Related<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Summary:<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Electronic Assembly:<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022To assemble and produce high quality electronic components that make up the various products of RFID Experts Africa while ensuring that any faulty or problematic items are flagged early.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Client support &amp; training:<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022Provide customers with support to get their operations back up and running<br \/>\n\u2022Help customers with technical input if they do not have the technical knowledge to correct the problem themselves<br \/>\n\u2022Give customers the confidence and knowledge to operate RFID products and better understand the information gained from<br \/>\nusing the products<br \/>\n\u2022Help with warranty claims<br \/>\n\u2022Deliver and install equipment and train first time clients with the necessary skills to use the products effectively<\/p>\n<p><strong>Communication with suppliers:<\/strong><br \/>\noIf client support exceeds office knowledge to contact them for further assistance<br \/>\noTesting of new products of suppliers<\/p>\n<p><strong>Purchasing &amp; delivery:<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022Collect and deliver correct components to assist in facilitating sufficient stock and production times<br \/>\n\u2022Deliver products to clients in a timely and safe manner<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ad Hoc:<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022Provide assistance where required on an Ad Hoc basis<br \/>\n\u2022Assist where necessary to maintain workflow<\/p>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS\/ TRAINING:<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022Matric with programming<br \/>\n\u2022Minimum 3 years work experience<br \/>\n\u2022Training in electronic assembly and troubleshooting<br \/>\n\u2022Knowledge of electrical wiring conventions and standards<br \/>\n\u2022Experience with electronics (wiring, soldering, programming)<br \/>\n\u2022Competency in providing customer support<\/p>\n<p><strong>JOB REQUIREMENTS:<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022Knowledge of animals and the Agricultural environment<br \/>\n\u2022Knowledge of electrical wiring conventions and standards<br \/>\n\u2022Experience with electronics (wiring, soldering, programming)<br \/>\n\u2022Competency in providing customer support<br \/>\n\u2022Fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans<br \/>\n\u2022Valid driver\u2019s licence<br \/>\n\u2022Traveling and installation at client premises throughout South Africa<\/p>\n<p><strong>KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022Electronic assembly<br \/>\n\u2022Understanding of circuitry and electronics<br \/>\n\u2022Writing diagrams<br \/>\n\u2022Schematic diagrams<br \/>\n\u2022Microsoft office<br \/>\n\u2022IT\/Coding knowledge. SQL Programming and database manipulation. Control systems.<br \/>\n\u2022Basic radio frequency identification (RFID) knowledge.
