Job Title: ENGINEER<\/strong>
\nLocation:<\/strong> Mpumalanga area, Mpumalanga, South Africa
\nReference #:<\/strong> ENGINEER
\nContract Type:<\/strong> Permanent
\nSalary:<\/strong> Market Related<\/p>\n

Job Summary:<\/strong>
\nDetermine standards and policies for installation, modification, quality control, testing, inspection and maintenance, inspecting plant and machinery to ensure optimum performance. Directing the maintenance of plant, buildings and equipment, scheduling and planning production activities.<\/p>\n

Optimal Plant and Equipment Performance:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Schedule of services and ensure all the paper work is in order.<\/p>\n

Co-ordinate the inspection lists and delegate daily duties to the Plant Foreman.<\/p>\n

Co-ordinate the daily duties of the service supervisors.<\/p>\n

Monitor equipment availabilities on a daily basis.<\/p>\n

Follow up on breakdowns as a matter of urgency.<\/p>\n

Minimise downtime and treat with sense of urgency.<\/p>\n

Job planning on a daily basis.<\/p>\n

Plant Administration Function:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ensure that history files are updated daily on engineering system.<\/p>\n

Check and sign all service \/ job cards on a daily basis.<\/p>\n

Stores and Stock Control:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Monitor, sign and check all stores issued.<\/p>\n

Incorrect issues to be returned to store.<\/p>\n

Issue a maintenance and service schedule to procurement on weekly for preparation and to ensure tools, spares availability.<\/p>\n

Ensure Compliance to SHEQ policies, procedures, standards and applicable legislation<\/p>\n

Comply with all SHEQ standards.<\/p>\n

Ensure that all staff is trained and informed of and adhere to safety, health, environment and quality standards and procedures.<\/p>\n

Ensure compliance with all PPE requirements.<\/p>\n

Constantly inspect the work done to ensure that jobs are completed in line with client and quality requirements.<\/p>\n

Engineering HR Function:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Chair all relevant disciplinary actions.<\/p>\n

Ensure skills training and development of employees.<\/p>\n

Motivate employees and create pride with regards to their work.<\/p>\n

Conduct performance management of subordinates and sub-contractors.<\/p>\n

Ensure career development of subordinates to their full potential.<\/p>\n

Control staff and quality of work at all times.<\/p>\n

Total Quality of the Maintenance Function<\/p>\n

Liaise with plant foreman and on a daily basis.<\/p>\n

Liaise on a daily basis with the Process Manager to discuss breakdowns, availability, budget, authorization and any other matter of mutual interest.<\/p>\n

Conduct daily and weekly meetings with staff to discuss and review maintenance procedures, plan maintenance and repairs, review repair costs against the budget, attend to any complaints from the client and review the quality procedures.<\/p>\n

Follow up on breakdowns as a matter of urgency.<\/p>\n

Requirements:<\/strong>
\nQUALIFICATIONS:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Diploma, BSc\/ B-Tech Engineering Electrical or Mechanical.<\/p>\n

Government Certificate of Competency (GCC) in Mining.<\/p>\n

EXPERIENCE:<\/strong><\/p>\n

5 years in a Section Engineer position, carrying a legal appointment in a Plant or Mine Environment.<\/p>\n

SKILLS, QUALITIES AND ABILITIES:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Technical Knowledge of Coal Processing plant and equipment.<\/p>\n

Relationship building.<\/p>\n

Ability to drive innovation.<\/p>\n

Planning and organising for achievement of business goals.<\/p>\n

Ability to coach all levels of personnel for sustainable high performance.<\/p>\n

Plant \/ Engineering financial and accounting skills.<\/p>\n

Computer Literate.<\/p>\n
