Job Title: Debtors Clerk- (Central Technical College – Pretoria)<\/strong>
\nLocation:<\/strong> Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa

Job Summary:<\/strong>
\n\u2022Achieves financial objectives
\n\u2022Maintains professional and technical knowledge
\n\u2022Provides reports
\n\u2022Maintains rapport with stakeholders, including but not limited regulatory bodies
\n\u2022Prepares reports
\n\u2022Solves problems
\n\u2022Maintains professional knowledge
\n\u2022Contributes to the team effort
\n\u2022Maintains quality service<\/p>\n

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:<\/strong>
\n\u2022Mails form letters to customers to encourage payment of delinquent accounts.
\n\u2022Confers with customer by telephone in attempt to determine reason for overdue payment, reviewing terms of sales, service, or credit contract with customer.
\n\u2022Notifies credit department if customer fails to respond.
\n\u2022Contacts delinquent account customers in person.
\n\u2022Records information about financial status of customer and status of collection efforts.
\n\u2022Orders repossession or service disconnection, or turns over account to attorney.
\n\u2022Sorts and files correspondence.
\n\u2022Grants extensions of payment arrangement.
\n\u2022Traces customer.
\n\u2022Liaison with query assistant<\/p>\n

JOB REQUIREMENTS:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Matric qualification
\n\u2022 A finance related qualification (Accounts\/Bookkeeping) would be an added advantage
\n\u2022 1-2 years relevant experience in a similar role is a must
\n\u2022 Proficient in MS Word and Excel
\n\u2022 Ability to work under pressure
\n\u2022 Excellent Communication Skills
\n\u2022 Honest and reliable individual<\/p>\n
