\nThe Research Nurse performs clinical procedures and administers processes essential to continually improving standards of patient care according to professional protocol.<\/p>\n
\nProvide Clinical tasks
\nResearch-related tasks
\nAdministrative duties
\nLiaison with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers
\nHuman Capital Supervision
\nCompile clinical data and enter it into a database
\nReview and assess data collected
\nCollaborate with investigators and statistical consultants
\nScreen and recruit subjects for clinical studies<\/p>\n
\nLiaise with all Internal Stakeholders and External Stakeholders and Suppliers when necessary towards the achievement of organizational and departmental goals
\nProvide Clinical Services
\nConduct HCT testing indoors and outdoors (Mobile, gazebo) on a daily basis
\nObtain medical history
\nPhysical examination of participants, including pelvic, genital and rectal examinations
\nDrawing of blood and other Specimens
\nMonitor vital signs
\nSyndrome management of conditions
\nDispensing of medication
\nAssessing the results and refer participant for further treatment where necessary
\nIssue ARV medication
\nMonitor ARV RX adherence and educate on lifestyle modifications
\nManage Participants on a regular basis to monitor side effects
\nReferral of participants for further investigations including x-rays, sonars etc.
\nProvide a Counselling Services
\nConduct pre-and post-counselling service to each participant
\nProvide educational assistance and advise
\nParticipant management
\nRecruitment and screening of volunteers and potential study participants from target populations
\nAdminister screening questionnaire
\nObtain and accurately document informed consent from volunteers
\nFollow-up on participants, explaining and answering questions about the research to potential volunteers and stakeholders in accordance with the protocol and SOPs
\nEnrolling participants according to SOPs and protocol
\nComplete case report and data collection forms
\nPerform daily quality checks and data counselling
\nContinuous monitoring of trail participants to facilitate timeous reports on safety.
\nProvide and communicate qualitative and quantitative feedback (reports) on recruitment strategies
\nConducting of research studies by:
\nRecruitment and screening of volunteers and potential study participants from target populations
\nAdminister screening questionnaire
\nObtain and accurately document informed consent from volunteers
\nFollow-up on participants, explaining and answering questions about the research to potential volunteers and stakeholders in accordance with the protocol and SOPs

\nOversee all records on participants are completed and filed accurately with strict adherence to documentation handling procedures
\nManage procurement, stock control and disposal of clinical supplies in compliance with regulatory standards
\nMaintain accurate study logs related to biological specimens and proper stock keeping of clinic supplies
\nRespond timeously to data queries from the QA and Data Management teams
\nSupervision of subordinates (administrative clerks, Research assistants and Runners) by providing guidance<\/p>\n

\nRelevant Bachelor\u2019s Degree
\nRegistration with South African Nursing Council as a professional nurse
\nAdvanced diploma in Primary Health Care
\nHIV\/AIDS certificate
